Not worth the 5 stars.

Pros: The bed was good. The size of the bathroom was good. The fact you can open the window is good. The capsule coffee machine was available. The fact that a swimming pool and sauna and steam bath were available. Bottles of water available. 12 o'clock check out on a Saturday.

Cons: The bathroom door in the room is ridiculous, it is like a building door with the self closing mechanism, which is unnecessary and loud when it closes, we had to put something in-between so it doesn't slam. The swimming pool was a bit small and the floor always wet, slippery, not enough lying/chilling lunges. Not very pleasant, cosy overall. Didn't see any additional towels, if you forgot ones from your room. Fridge too small and not cool enough. The room still had dust and rubbish under the bed. The AC did go on in the morning and made lots of wiered loud noises, distracting if you want to sleep longer. The wooden chair ripped my tights, as the edges are not even.

Pros: Room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a deluxe double on the 4th floor. Windows opened for fresh air which we always love. . Everyone in our group said how wonderful the beds were which is very unusual in so many people. We were there for a surprise birthday gathering. Bathroom was well thought out with a bath and shower and a separate loo. Good wardrobe with lovely luxurious hangers. Coffee machine AND a kettle. Bliss. Limited number of coffee capsules and tea bag. We were given more on request. Fresh milk was available from the reception staff to put in the fridge. Very quiet hotel but within walking distance of bars and restaurants and many interesting places. Staff are very friendly, stylish and professional 24/7. They even found me a french adaptor. at 3 in the morning. The lady in the bar was very friendly but sadly had nothing people wanted to drink! Plenty of local alternatives though. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Fresh eggs and omelettes were cooked to order. Vast continental breakfast available. We did not use the spa personally but one of the group had a lovely massage and swim. Reception found us taxis in incredibly short order. There was a very efficient storage solution for leaving luggage. Most attentive hotel we have stayed in for years. Definitely earned the stars. We will definitely stay again if we are in Paris.

Cons: We spent a very small amount of money in the bar as we were part of a large group and it was a nice place to sit together. The profits could have been pretty large! Sadly the bar is not very well run and the stock was very low. No Gin, Tonic or fizz of any type available... Only one beer was available. Lots of whisky and cocktails. Quite odd really. I had a nice cocktail but others were unable to buy a drink. No offer to restock for the following night was made even though we asked the night staff about it. We therefore spent our money in another bar. Hopefully this was not a usual problem.

Cons: Emailed the hotel 3 times before my stay but they failed to respond. When I asked about it at my arrival they could see that the emails were received alright but didn’t even apologize for not responding, even the manager was very unpleasant. Also they spoke barely any English.

Disastrous Experience: Broken Air Conditioning...

Cons: My stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. We were given a card key to a room already occupied by other guests, causing embarrassment and security concerns. The air conditioning was broken, and it took four visits to the front desk before someone tried to fix it. Even after being told the issue had been resolved, the problem persisted, and we just had to ask for a new room. This was after spending a night in without AC (which is tricky in Paris in June). Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the next room also didn't work initially but a technician did come up and fix this. Every time we approached the front desk with our grievances, we had to explain the entire situation from scratch because it was always a different person attending to us and we spent far too much time of our short break dealing with issues. They offered a free drink token, but even at the bar, there was a 25 minute wait due to lack of staff. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
