Lovely

Pros: The staff were lovely, the bed was comfortable, our room was available when we arrived early which we didnt expect and that was marvellous. We also didnt realise breakfast was included so that was a bonus. And I do appreciate they have dog friendly rooms because we love travelling with our little friend.

Cons: Possibly a bit over priced the Tack Rooms behind the hotel but run by them are better value in my opinion.

Exceptional

Pros: Lovely, large room. Great to have a small kitchenette, generous sized living area with 3 seater sofa and two comfy armchairs, as well as a small dining table. Decent sized wardrobes that were well lit with luggage racks. Nice bathroom and lovely decor. It was also great that it was pet friendly, but you would never have known as it was very clean.

High-quality, comfortable space in an ideal location

Pros: Super comfortable hotel that was spacious and very clean. We managed to get an upgraded room because our previous room apparently had something broken in it. Our space included a full living room area and small kitchen. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Felt like a really nice, high-quality hotel with the hotel bar (we got a complimentary drink there!) and outdoor space. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was also ideal and we were able to walk around the entire city without a car or taxi. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Great hotel for those who want their canine family member to stay with them

Pros: Good size suite, lovely staff, nice decor, relaxed atmosphere, great that its dog friendly. Very good location. Excellent parking. Nice range of glassware, crockery and cookware in the room. While there were things that werent perfect we would stay again.

Cons: It was expensive for what it was - was expecting a lot flasher for the price. Looks a bit dated on outside of building. Marks on the carpet and furniture, looked like the towel rails in the bathroom had been refitted and the paint was chipped off where the ends of each rail were fitted to the wall. Odd layout in bathroom - and a little surprised to find the family suite didnt have a bath, but we didnt need a bath. Rubber coming off bottom of glass shower door. Floors/carpet could have been cleaner - my white socks ended up dirty from walking around in the suite. Noisy neighbours above and below late at night. Needs plug points in bathroom for hairdryer etc. Online booking info said 2 days would be charged at the start of the booking and the rest at the hotel at the end of our stay, but the full amount for accommodation was charged to my card before the start of our stay.

Pros: Rooms were large for a Junior Suite, the hotel was well maintained, and the staff was excellent.

Cons: The door handle to the balcony was too low to the ground.

A perfect introduction to New Zealand hospitality - setting a very high standard.

Pros: Lovely boutique hotel which offers personalised service. We got upgraded to a junior suite which was an additional bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable giving a perfect nights sleep - the No1 priority in our book. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel offers onsite car parking and is well positioned, close to the centre of the city and its many facilities. Great place to stay.

Cons: We would have preferred more hanging space for clothing and the wardrobe system wasnt able to accommodate our suitcases, as designed. Small point, but annoying to have suitcases littering the available floor space. Apart from that, all was perfect.
