Pros: Hotel was fine but roadwork in front of hotel has been going on for several years. Difficult to walk down the road. I liked the hotel and the staff were great but would not stay there until the street is fixed and open.

Cons: Road work makes walking difficult especially at night. Has been under construction for several years.

Cons: We were not notified prior or at time of booking to road works just outside the hotel, which hindered our stay. We still payed premium price for a hotel that taxis and ubers were hesitant to come to due to the roadwork. Shoes and clothing were constantly muddy anytime we left the hotel.

Cons: The excessive noise from roadworks outside the hotel. The hotel or booking.com should have made us aware of the ongoing works prior to our arrival. While we were there we asked management for some resolution. We were offered a free meal which we could not eat as it was disgusting. We were told we could discuss the situation with a manager and we would be invited to a meeting by another manager, this never happened.on return home we raised a complaint only to be told we could have euros as compensation. The noise level from the roadworks was horrendous and completely ruined the whole week as the works were ongoing every day we were there. The management team suggested we should have moved to another hotel at the time unfortunately we can not afford to pay for two holidays at the same time and believe this to be the case for most families. This holiday was originally booked because myself and my wife had lost a parent earlier that year so needed a relaxing break unfortunately we did not experience this at the hotel la pad. The hotel management team where fully aware of the potential for excessive noise pollution as it was blatantly obvious this was going to be the case with such extensive roadworks they completely failed us as customers. Then washed there hands of the whole situation. Whist there 3 managers came out of the office to see how bad the noise was I spoke to one and he told me that if he where in my shoes he would ask for a full refund as the noise was deafening and agreed it would have ruined his holiday. On return home I did as he had informed me he would do only to be told my final compensation would be 200 euros so thank you hotel Lapad and booking.com for wasting over two thousand pounds and increasing our stress at such a distressing and emotional time My pictures are taken from the pool area of the hotel lapad and all show outside Completely let down and appauled Laurence Dannunzio
