Passable but disappointing

Pros: The staff was nice , the room was kept clean and neat every single day so the cleaning staff gets 10/10.

Cons: The gym was disappointing. Extremely dirty, no equipment to clean after use. One of two running machines was not working. Weights and kettlebells missing. Had to walk through chemical hazardic air to get there. Some construction work was taking place right next to it on the -1 floor where the car parking is. The gym needs a BIG upgrade. I will not book at this property next year unless I am sure the gym has been made better. I also didnt find the food they served any special. I could only eat the french fries which even sometimes were undercooked!

Great hotel for couples and families

Pros: Our stay at the Hotel Gala exceeded my expectations. The hotel was constantly being cleaned, rooms were also well cleaned everyday, staff was always friendly, facilities were great and the food at the restaurant was always different. The location of the hotel was also ideal for our needs as it was only a 15 min walk to the port, few ministry away from the beach and a 15 min walk from the fanciest part of Playa de las Americas. Highly recommend and would come back to stay at the same hotel.

Cons: The way the spa works isnt great as a member of staff needs to unlock the door to let you into the pool area. If they are busy doing a treatment, then you might need to wait an hour to get back in. This actually happened to us and we just gave up waiting for so long as by the time they would be back, it was the time they closed down. Disappointing.

Good location,clean,good value but cheap coffee.

Pros: Good location,nice views of the sea ,lovely pool,good food and night time entertainment. Staff friendly and reception staff really helpful . Air conditioning fixed within minutes when we had a problem. Snacks available at the bar. Powerful hot shower and clean rooms

Cons: Real coffee and cocktails not included. A virtual army of Bar and Restaurant staff slow serving and slow clearing the tables . Malta Beer in Spain.. I didnt travel to Malta I was in Spain. No hand rails on jacazzi. Good food but,Limited variety in the restaurant .Although the theme changed on the sign . Inside one or two items may have changed.

Cons: Noise. Poor food quality. Cockroaches in the restaurant. Poor condition of the gym/ broken gym equipment/. Lack of gym sign and attention.

Cons: The floor in the room 427 was totally ruined, looks like water damage. The area in front of the elevators near the lobby smells like rotten wood, something is moulding there.

Pros: Me and my partner are not happy and have been in distress regarding the property! They have portrayed us as drunken hooligans! we have had nothing but the utmost respect for the staff whether it be bar staff, cleaners or food service. The police was called following hotel protocol for no more than raised voices as my girlfriend was in distress from falling from a chair and hitting her elbow and seriously hurting herself by breaking her elbow from the front left chair leg which snapped causing her to hurt her elbow in the sharp corners of the dressing table, which may I point out the chair has been left in our room still BROKEN the whole holiday... and charged for 2 sets of bedding and 2 bails of towels which couldn't be helped as the wound has bled in her sleep. The bill was 175+ or we had to leave. The police was happy with our behaviour and was more than happy to leave us with each others company. They understood that no domestic or criminal acts was taken place. No arrests was made nor passports taken which would usually be the case in a foreign country. As honest respectful people we went straight to the reception and explained this. But we was faced with rudeness and threatened by being asked to leave if the chair and extras was not paid for there and then. My partner asked for first aid and medical attention in which she was refused by katrina (the manager) and told to go to the lifeguard where she continued to walk up and down steep slippery stairs and walk across the wet floor by the pool over 300yrds away. My partner was not asked by any staff if she was ok. The lifeguard was very respectful and concerned with her which we admire. The holiday was fully ruined as we couldn't do any excursions or any other form of physical experiences. We spent 2 full days at the hospital and cost us an additional 150 excess. I personally think the hotel manager has discriminating us by being British by stating we was drunk hence our own fault.

Cons: We didn't like the fact that when we contacted booking.com about this whole situation we found out that the hotel had put their version into them already... the guy on the phone was Spanish of course said his hands were tied ... we then asked to speak to his manager about this the phone went dead I received an email saying the line conveniently went dead and he tried calling back (he didn't!) . Nothing has been resolved and we are willing to take this higher if necessary! Overall disgusted!

Pros: Cleaned everyday , location quite good central

Cons: Rude staff , paying for upgrade when already asked for sea view when booking it , 126 euros extra , unable to stay in room later than checkout and had to pay for lunch all in all wouldnt go back cleaners were great though cleaned room daily

Pros: Great location, friendly stuff, huge room with two king size bed. Really nice selection of foods in the morning and dinner.

Cons: We had to pay for using the safe, but for 4 stars hotel it is a joke. We had to pay a lot for parking underground in the parking lot, but it was under construction, so was horrible to park there.

Cons: a lot of things are not okey: not clean at kitchen(each 3rd cup or plate - dirty), ive seen 2 times cockroaches. At room - very dirty at bathroom, floor is dirty. very noisy environment.
