    Oasis in the centre of...

    Pros: The location is perfect. A quiet street 5 minutes' walk from the Hotel de Ville for transport or from the Ralliement square and its restaurants, 7 minutes' walk from Angers St Laud train station. The house looks like a small Manor House. We were warmly greeted at reception. Our room was spacious, freshly painted and spotlessly clean with a large and comfortable double bed, modern toilet and bathroom with shower. I can't comment on the breakfast as we had it in town. We would definitely stay here again.

    Pros: Excellent quiet location easily walkable to city centre.
    Cons: Decoration was a bit garish for a lovely old building.

    Pros: When we first visited for one night in about 2012 we were impressed by the serenity if this 18th(?) Century townhouse set in a cobbled courtyard and vowed to return. Since then it's been jazzed up somewhat, with "boutique" light fittings etc and a red and black paintjob in the corridors which makes it look like a fetish club. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Parking (in the courtyard) is extremely handy, though quite expensive. Location perfect.
    Cons: There's no lounge as such, though there's a sort of lobby where you can sit and read a book, but only until about 9:30 when they lock everything up. We ended up going to bed far too early because there was nowhere else to go! Our room was a bit small, we'd pay up for a bigger room if visiting again. Like most hotels everywhere, our room lacked the things travellers want: HOOKS to hang things from and SHELVES to put things on!!!

    Pros: The location was very good.
    Cons: The guest facilities in the room were very basic. No tea or coffee facilities. No toiletries, the bath was very small and the shower was in the bath.
