the hotels biggest asset is its location.

Pros: the property is located in the epicentre of Florence with all main attractions close by.

Cons: Room was small, with natural light via a light well.

Hotel de Lanzi

Pros: The hotel was so convenient for all the attractions. Very comfortable and the breakfast was adequate.

Cons: The room was a little small and no tea/coffee making facilities which would have been great to have.

Pros: It was clean and the staff were pleasant.

Cons: Extremely noisy from the street - no soundproofing on windows. It was extremely dated and old, looked like a halfway house. The room was much much smaller than 23sqm - the size was why I chose this hotel but I shouldnt have bothered because it was falsely listed. The shower was terrible. I did not like staying here at all and it was ridiculously overpriced for what it was, I hardly slept for two nights. Not worth it.

Cons: Our room had been modernised which spoilt the experience I would have preferred a more traditional theme as in the advertising photos. Tea and coffee making and a refrigerator would have been great.

Cons: I would have liked to see a free coffee machine available in the main lobby all day, for the convenience of guests. Two other hotels I stayed at had this feature. Also, it would have helped me if the breakfast started earlier, such as 6 am, because I had to catch an early train and had to skip breakfast. One staff member told me they could provide a small bag of a few breakfast item to take with me, but when I checked out the morning person said this was not possible.

Not sure about other hotels in the city, but sure hope to have a chance to compare.

Pros: it's location is convenient.

Cons: The breakfest was not included - $14 perperson. And you cannot take any foods (e.g. an apple) outside the restaurant. Room is rather small for 3 people. They do not take American Express. Initially, they offer filling our bottles with kitchen water. But after 2 days, they changed the story telling us to use our bath room tap water. "becasue they are the same water".

Cons: The shower does not have any shelf to put shower soap on. Where do you put your toiletries in the bathroom. The room was way too tight with a double and single bed. The breakfast lady literally yelling at us to leave at 10:25 am. She is very rude

Excellently positioned Hotel, very comfortable and just a 20 minute walk from the railway station.

Pros: Excellent location close to Duomo. Plenty of choice at breakfast, air con, mini safe and very helpful staff.

Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike bit a mini fridge would have been useful.
