Great value for the money and top location

Pros: Great value for this price. Friendly staff, perfect location, comfortable beds, basically all you would need for your stay. Everything was fresh and clean, and the place was clearly renovated. The hotel is close to the beach, the old town and tram stops, and also close to the train station but at the same time far enough from the train station neighborhood, which is noticeable worse in my opinion for tourists compared to the hotel Busby location

Cons: Taking out two points of the whole score, because of the outside noise - it's practically the same if you have the window closed or open; and the noise coming from the hallway - especially noticeable if someone walks beside your door late at night or early in the morning - even if people don't talk loud, the noise is the same as if they are right beside you; making this point just to be fair and objective, otherwise no other complaints!

Unbeatable location and friendly service

Pros: Hotel Busby is wonderfully located, just a few blocks from the water and two tram stops. The staff were always very friendly. The hotel has a long and storied history, and while some aspects are dated and a bit tired (the bathroom fixtures and door locks come to mind) the property has been maintained and both the common areas and my room were spotless. The bedding was also very comfortable; the mattress and pillows were supportive. I also appreciated the no-waste pump bottle of shower gel/shampoo. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Cons: In the interest of security, old-school metal keys with the hotel name and room number should be replaced with keycards. The bathrooms could use a renovation, but mine was clean and perfectly functional. Bedside reading lights used the same bulbs as ceiling fixtures and were therefore far too bright.

Pros: All good. Friendly approachable staff. Breakfast is ideal buffet affair suitbly stocked. A relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, clean and very tidy. It would appear that it has recently been decorated and new carpets. My third time of staying. Ideal location for exploring the lower slopes of the Alps.

Pros: Location is spot on. Great value for money. Everything was clean and fresh. After all it's a room with a bed, and separate bathroom. Cleaned every day. Would definitely stay again
