It was perfect for us...

Pros: Comfortable modern clean hotel. It was very quiet during our stay in March. Friendly staff and dog friendly as we were travelling with our dog.

Cons: Quite expensive for dogs supplement it was being increased from 10 e to 15 e per night. The attached cafe is handy but we didn’t try it. Lovely location close to the beach and the little ferry boat to Santander is nearby too.

Here's a revised version: "All the staff were very grumpy, unhelpful, and unkind. I had confirmed whether they would serve dinner before our arrival, and they confirmed in writing that they would. Yet, when we arrived, the reception said there was no dinner available. So, we had to find a restaurant that was open during the low season. All the restaurants in town were fast food and outrageously expensive for the bad quality. Breakfast was a total disaster. There were no fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, cheese, bread, or oats, etc. Just ready-made sandwiches with mayonnaise. Also, the restaurant staff were nothing but rude. Additionally, there were no dog bowls, treats, or beds for our dogs despite being charged for their stay."

Pros: Absolute gem of a hotel that is ideally located for staying in before travel to the Santander ferry. I had travelled for 10hrs to arrive into the hotel for one night. Somo is a stunning little town right on the coast and is within 25km of the Santander ferry port. The staff were very welcoming, had great English, which made check in very easy. The rooms in the hotel are like mini-suites. Mine had a fridge, a private outdoor balcony and was spotless when I checked in. Breakfast was simply delicious and the coffee was superb, and all for just 2.95 Euros! Would go back again. Worth every cent and better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in over the years,
