Cons: I stayed at this hotel from 18th to 21st october. When I checked in the owner/receptionist informed us that the Air conditioning doesn't work and we cannot switch it on anyways the temperature was nearly 18 degrees so it was fine. She also mentioned that the heaters will be switched on only after 22nd October as per some Italian law which was a new information for us and this was not informed to me either by the hotel or booking.com. Midnight the temperature went down and we were freezed. The blankets which they had provided couldn't be used because the way it looked just pathetic and unhygienic. I had a feeling that my family would get unwell if we used it. Even the toilets smelled very badly. I did raise this issue with booking.com and the next day the hotel owner gave us the option to check out if we needed as booking.com forwarded the issue to them. Naturally it is convenient for the hotel to say that if we want we can leave but then will end up paying a huge chunk of money for another hotel and it's difficult to get one hotel reservation at the last moment as you need months of reservationto get a good hotel at Venice. For me it was more difficult as I was traveling my 3 year old child and my pregnant wife so I was literally left with no option rather than just surviving in this hotel. The funny part is that at some places of Italy the heating is on so I think the Italian laws can be changed by the hotels as and when they want. What I feel is that this hotel just needs money and doesn't want to provide any facilities. So my suggestion to any of the traveller's is to email or send a message to this hotel first confirm everything and then book as these people will put us in such a predicament that you will feel helpless and even booking.com doesn't help us. I would clearly blame booking.

Pros: Lovely staff, delicious breakfast in the little breakfast room every day, great location near vaporetta stop and walk to St Marks in 20 mins. Room was comfy with hot shower and comfy bed.

We booked the cheapest hotel we could in Venice and we certainly got what we paid for.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and tried to always help when needed. The location was very good, being very close to the station and near water buses.

Cons: The room and toilet were very small. There was not decoration and beds and pillows very uncomfortable.

Great Location for a short stay

Pros: Great location. Just about 6 mins from train station. Easy check-in. Clean. Room is spacious. Bathroom is the usual small and minimalistic European bathroom. No elevator so if you have baggage ask for a ground floor because chivalry is dead and buried wherein the young man who works there will not even help you if you were to fall into the earth's core.

Cons: No elevator. You have to walk through a dark and lonely alley to get to venue. Looks like a place in a murder movie.
