A diamond in the heart of Mestre, perfect choice if you plan to visit Venice

Pros: Absolutely recommend this place! Very nice hotel in the heart of Mestre, just right on the square. Room was excellent size for all of us, there was no view from our room, but the silence was precious. In the morning we woke up hearing the church bell which was incredible nice. Nearby, as adviced by the reception staff we visited a local tratorria that offered excellent food and wine at totally acceptable prices. We took the bus and went to Venice enjoyed 4 hours there and back to Mestre also by bus. The breakfast was very rich and included local products, very nice honey, and many other carefully selected products. All was super nice, smooth and easy, thank you again for this memorable experience.

Cons: Very underwhelming experience: Location - Thehotel is central as advertised. Its located on what seems to be a busy street during the day. The problem is its on a pedestrianised zone which means motor traffic is prohibited with police cars everywhere! I had to walk about 500 meters from where we parked on the main street in order to track the hotel and ask the receptionist how do we bring 2 sleeping children and 4 suitcases to the hotel (arriving at an evening flight, the time was past midnight). He told me since the hotel has some sort of an agreement with the local police that if we get a ticket, it will be cancelled later. Eventually, in order to not leave the car parked risk a ticket fine, my wife dropped me at the hotel with the kids and luggage and stayed in the car, had to be done in 4 different sets! The hotel has a parking which is about 700 meters distance. After checking in, nothing beats finally arriving to your hotel room after a long day, with 2 kids and 4 suitcases at 1PM. to find tons of human hair all over your bed sheets. Photos are attached. Just gross are careless by the staff. Reception representative seemed embarrassed and the best solution he could come up with is offering new sheets for us to put on. The hotel itself has a vintage look, which I dont mind but the whole room and long hallway felt dusty and dirty. No windows or AC to get some fresh air. There were brown stains on the shower curtain, the floor underneath our bed seemed like it wasnt wiped in months, lots of dust and more human hair). The shower part seemedlike the only section that was recently renovated, but again, there was human hair on the white floor. The hotel has 2 floors, 0 & 1, the elevator in the lobby is super slow, takes about 45 seconds to get from 1 floor to another. Ridiculous. The room keychain is a large golden metal door knob that literally weights close to 500 grams. Very inconvenient to travel with.
