Pros: Absolutely loved this place especially pool bar. Great food. Music. Staff amazing. Close to beach & restaurants bars etc. Promenade beautiful views.

Cons: Cleaning only once a week. Towels replaced only weekly We stayed extra & upgraded still no cleaning weekly or towels. Often having to request. Towels were the main problem.

Based on our most recent holiday, I wouldnt stay here again unless I knew improvements were made.

Pros: Familiarity. Ive been coming here for 11 years so I know it well however, it has deteriorated so much.

Cons: Massive cockroach the length of my finger on the sink on arrival & another in bedroom on the last night & I couldnt get it so I couldnt sleep. Huge leak in boiler press so mop & brush were soaking wet & the musty smell was disgusting all week. No hot water in kitchen sink so I complained the 1st morning & the maintenance man came to fix it that evening. He replaced the tap but couldnt secure it so it was dangerously wobbling all week. Cleaning is reduced to once a week. Before we used to have a cleaner daily to do the bins & floors & then the sheets & towels were changed I think twice in the week. The safe was locked but given no information on the lock at reception on check-in and there was a language barrier then with the staff so I didnt bother asking about it. The heat was insufferable without any air conditioning and there was a serious lack of fans to hire. The dressing table in the bedroom was replaced by a fabric covered chest which you couldnt put stuff on so there was no surface space through the apartment for doing makeup & hair except for the desk in the sitting room. It felt so so budget. Apart from all this, possibly the worst part was how dirty the paths and around the pool were. When we used come before, the pool area used to be hosed down every night. During this trip, the morning dew & dirty ground made the place filthy & it meant that you were walking that dirt into your apartment. Cleaning & maintenance are so important & it felt as though both needed serious attention, especially given that the establishment was at capacity.

Cons: No umbrellas at pool The bar music was very loud at night No air conditioning Ants in our apartment, we did inform reception but nothing was done about it. We put salt down ourselves to try and control it. Also a lot of cockroaches around the place. Apartament only cleaned once, clean sheets and towels only given once. If you wanted clean towels you had to pay 2.30.

Hesperia bristol playa

Pros: Location was good. Evening entertainment was very good. There was a kitchen pack of washing up liquid, tea towel etc which was great. Its a nice resort but in definite need of some tlc.

Cons: The biggest thing is the fact there was no where to sit. The lounge had a double bed in it with one pillow, a plastic table and 2 chairs and a small office type chair. Even though we were only there for 4 days, it was a pain. Plus there was no aircon and we had to pay for the safe.

Pros: We have stayed at the Bristol many times in the last few years and we are booked to return in December this year. We love the pool area and the pool bar, hosted by the fantastic couple Danny and Lydia with their lovely staff.

Cons: We have found that the level of cleanliness in the rooms has dropped considerably over the last couple of years particularly and that the rooms are now only cleaned once during a one week or even a ten day stay. The towels particularly need to be changed twice every week and three times during a ten day period. We had friends come along with us on our recent visit (September 18th-September 28th) and to say they were not happy with the cleaning of the room and changing of towels would be an understatement
