Pros: Location

Cons: The room they gave us was near the dumpster and where deliveries come in. It was loud. When I told the person at the front desk they said ok. The gentleman didn’t care at all. He let us check out 30 min late. I got no sleep. I would have paid for a quieter room

Cons: Our room was cold.. heat did not come on… noisy from yeah pick up e In the wee hours of the morning and loud music /people at night. Slipped several times on the threshold of the bathroom because of the slope

The hotel looks beautiful but...

Pros: I liked the hotels location, right in the heart of the city.

Cons: A few things. I didn't like the staff. They were stiff and unfriendly. For traveling purposes, my husband and I decided to depart a day early. We informed the hotel on Sunday we would leave on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Were told to speak someone during the day shift. I did. Was told just to check out on Tuesday. I did. I asked for a receipt. They told me I would be provided with one via email. They didn't send it on Tuesday. I called that evening while in Virginia. (We live in NY). Was told it would be provided on Wednesday the original check out date. I knew then the hotel would not adjust my bill. They even charged me for valet parking the day I wasn't there! The rooms were not swept or mopped, even though we requested housekeeping. And they are expensive! They don't offer many amenities for the price of the stay.

Pros: The location was great. The room was huge and so comfortable. It was a perfect romantic getaway.

Cons: The few things I was disappointed in the lack of coffee and other refreshments.

Loved our stay!

Pros: We like that the hotel was originally a department store many years ago. Love the architecture and design of the entire building. It's an older building but well maintained for the most part. Could use a few building maintenance improvements here and there but just the finer details. A lot of it adds to the character of the place. We had room 207 which is a king suite with a whirlpool tub. The room had lots of space with a pull-out couch. Very clean. We interacted with I believe six different staff members and all were extremely friendly and helpful! Downstairs is a handmade chocolate store. You can watch the chocolate being made from the interior hallway. Walking distance to great restaurants.

Cons: While the mattress was in good condition, it was very stiff/firm for us. We're side and stomach sleepers and shoulders hurt in the morning. This is very subjective though and other rooms may have different mattresses. Probably great if you're a back sleeper. Sheets were clean and bright white and pillows were great. Had a good mini fridge but no microwave so that would be a nice addition.

Pros: Huge rooms right downtown, with a pretty delicious brunch spot in the lobby. Didn't try the spa, but now wishing we did.

Cons: Key cards wouldn't work and the tv remote at night was pretty annoying to use. Otherwise, no complaints at all and those are less than mini minor issues.

Pros: We loved the size of the room. It was like a mini apartment.

Cons: I didn’t like that the website says complimentary breakfast when that wasn’t the case. And it would have been nice to have the option of using valet parking instead of it being a requirement.
