Cons: They completely ignored a harmless request to do a favor and shift the dates of our stay. No cancellation was requested, just change dates without losing money! And the request was caused by a severe winter storm in IA, which nobody could expect and/or control. Such a mindless greed and pettiness. They grabbed a fee for a single night, but lost all other potential fees, because trips are supposed to be regular to this area.

Pros: The facility was nice, breakfast was good. Staff was great except for one person.

Cons: The staff member that first evening when I called to let him know that my toilet needed plunging he let me know that no one from maintenance was in and that I could come down and get the plunger because he had guest in line and couldn't bring it and I would have to plung it my self. It wasn't a pupped toilet, I know he didn't know that, but it was the way he was like, "You can come get it. When I go down to get the plunger, someone walking in informs me that the guy is outside smoking a cigarette, so I wait there 2 minutes or so, and he comes in. I can understand that he was alone and that he may have been busy it was just his tone and the fact when I get down there you are outside smoking a cigarette he didn't even offer to bring if he couldn't that's fine but he seemed really unconcerned and un bothered by the fact that I couldn't use the toliet.

Pros: Very nice place. Clean. Good location. But when I got there the receptionist was very rude. She said I had NO reservation. But I had all the confirmation numbers. The PIN number. I book it through Booking.com. I Booking.com while I was there. They told me I still had reservations they had not be canceled. I even let Nati talk to them personally on my phone. She told them that she didn’t have them. At one point Nati told me & them my reservations were canceled another time she said I didn’t have reservations. Which both were untrue. I had the confirmation from both booking.com & Hampton Inn of Yorkville. I have never had such a bad experience with any person or hotel ever. Long story short. She had me talk with a “travel agent”. Who I seriously doubt that’s who it was. We ended up at Super 8 recommended “highly” from this person who said he had personally stayed there with his family. We that too I doubted. I ask him what the rating was he said a 2 star which he also said Hampton inn was. Well I can tell you personally Hampton inn is not a 2 star unless it is a low rated facility if people are treated as I was. My credit is still charged from Hampton inn. I have not been reimbursed from those charges. So I have charges from Hampton inn & super 8. She told me I was rude. And that she was done & walked away. I had my 4 grandchildren with me during this whole thing. There was a man & wife who heard these conversations. They were like silver or gold members. They checked in while I was talking on the phone with the “travel agent”. When we walked out this couple followed us out & stopped to talked to me. They were disappointed in the way she was treating me. He told me where another Hampton inn was. I thanked him & told him the made reservations for me at super 8 was had the same rating as Hampton Inn. He laughed & I told him exactly. Him & his wife both apologized to me for the treatment I received.

Cons: The receptionist Nati. I even asked to talk to a manager she said she was the manager. I said I’d like to talk to Brenda who was on the sign as manager & Nati said she was in the hospital. Very rude

Pros: The breakfast was wonderfully…

Cons: There were bed bugs in the room … which was an unexpectedly surprise… when we were about to check in they could not find my previously booked account in Which I also paid for when I booked my room and took priority for other callers while I was in person waiting for more than a hour. The pool was nice the first day but after it stayed weirdly cloudy.

Pros: The kitchen/lobby was amazing

Cons: There was an open condom in my children bed and no one would accommodate us when it was bought to there attention the young lady stated that “IT JUST MEANS THAT THE LINEN NEEDS TO BE CHANGED MORE OFTEN” I was so pissed
