Pros: Staff really nice and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly good each morning. Hotel was clean and well maintained.

Cons: The area where the hotel is located is somewhat dreary with a lot of what locals told us was drug activity and associated violence. The police stopped at the bus stop close to the hotel that we used a couple days to break up crowds gathered there to hang out and not use the buses. Not an area I would take children to.

Pros: The Cuban restaurant attached to the hotel was the best thing.

Cons: The noise outside was pretty bad. It is right across from a hospital, which meant there were sirens at all times of the day and night. The neighborhood also had a lot of homeless people. A local told us that the area is often referred to as “The Methodone Mile” because of the drug users.

Cons: The staff was not super helpful. They had put us in a room with a broken lock. When I went back down to the desk the first time they said that a new key would fix it and blamed it on me. Then the door wouldn’t open again so I had to go back down again to get assistance and they gave me a third key. Once again key did not work. Ended up calling down to the desk from the phone by the elevators and they sent someone to fix the door. After 15-20 minutes of standing in the hall, someone had finally come to fix the door. He said that they have been having known issues with this door and we should probably request a new room. After the door was “fixed” I had decided to try the door again before I was going to leave for a few hours. The door once again did not work and I’m thankful that my boyfriend stayed in the room while I tried this so he could let me in. When we had finally gotten a new room after standing in the lobby for 10 minutes waiting with other guests for someone to come to the desk (they were sitting on the chairs in the lobby) they gave me a new room. That room had not been fully cleaned and when I realized I was sneezing more than usual, I checked the filter on the A/C and it was covered completely in dust. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. Very upset about my stay.

Pros: The beds are great and the rooms are very comfortable. Loved the complementary toiletries Breakfast is nice and sufficient The staff was very helpful and charming (breakfast staff, cleaning crew, luggage clerk…) The area is quite practical and much quieter at night than proper downtown Boston.

Cons: Some of the receptionists are either overworked or undertrained as they can be rather unpleasant. The rest of the staff was very helpful and charming (breakfast staff, cleaning crew, luggage clerk…) I did not appreciate being lied to, I called in before booking to make sure the pool was working. I checked in two days later and the pool was “just” out of order but some other guests said it was already out of order when they arrived a few days ago… The area is not the most fun or friendly but it’s still quite practical.

Cons: Noise from ambulances got to the room.The near hospital is too close, around the place looks not so safe or clean at night.
