    Very Poor

    Bad

Pros: The lady at the reception was lovely, showed me the front door key etc.
Cons: The room 6 was extremely cold. The Shower did not have hot water and dripped... I noticed that there was a huge rip in the floor vinyl and the shower was evidently dirty. The room , cracks in the mirrors, window did not shut and had a huge draft. The Reception area smelt of tobacco and the carpet floors were absolutely filthy. My bed had black hairs all over them. I ended up staying elsewhere, collecting my belongings in the morning due to this experience of uncomfort.

    Very Poor

    Sadly disappointed

Pros: The location was great for what we needed to do while in the area.
Cons: My wife and myself checked in December 2023. We drove past the hotel twice before we found it as there were no lights on the sign and time we saw it we had missed it. Once we found the entrance we traveled down a driveway full of potholes. Not sure it did a lot for our suspension on the car or the tires for that matter.I found the man at the reception very rude. He asked if we had a reservation which we did, only to be asked 3 times if I was aware it was a double bed. I'm guessing because we were 2 women I must have made a mistake when booking the room. In the end I had to say we were married and a double bed was what I booked. He then offered us the biggest room with a four poster bed. In all honesty the room was no bigger than my new build bedroom at home. It was a listed building so I knew it would be dated in decor as most listed buildings are otherwise loose there character. The bed was clean and comfy and the bathroom was ok. There were no people at reception when leaving just a bowl to put your key. If we needed anything through the night you had to phone a number that was posted on a wall. Also the code they gave us wasn't the same as they gave my wife when she went back out to the car and found she couldn't get in. In fairness she didn't even know she needed a code, but when we compared the two they were different. Thankfully the door was still open when we arrived back after getting some food. Also it was Christmas time and not a Christmas decoration or tree in sight. It's such a shame as the price of the room was reasonable and it was an ideal location for what we had planned.

    A room with a beautiful...

Pros: I'd just attended a family funeral on arrival. i was welcomed by a lovely gentleman who insisted he made a rm change to accompany my needs. The house was beautiful, the view was outstanding. I felt like I was home. I walked around the grounds and felt overwhelmed by veiw. I will be staying again. I did live in Cleckheaton for many years, and memories came flooding back, I was I'd have stayed longer. Bolton born Yorkshire breed strong in arm, thick inn head hehe. Thanku to the gentleman who provided me with extra coffee n suger at 6am.
Cons: Was woken by a very rude couple checking inn, who was shouting at the check-in desk. Then, repeatedly arguing during the night, which I thought was very inconsiderate.

    Ashley

    Poor

    Ye woudnt stay again.

Pros: On arrival, I was met by a lovely lady who booked me in for my stay. The bed was ok..
Cons: I stayed at this property for one night on the 28th December. It was apparent as soon as I entered the premises that despite being December the heating was not on. It was also off in my room meaning my room was freezing. The towels they left for me to use were old and ripped and the hotel had an unpleasant food aroma throughout my whole stay. I had booked the hotel for 1 night to spend the evening at a family party. After attending the family party I arrived back at the property around midnight. The taxi could not enter or drive up the driveway as the electric gate was unexpectedly closed. The reception had not told me anything at check-in about the gate being closed at night or how I could get it to open. I rang the number I was given for assistance on my arrival and they assured me that they were on their way down to open it. The taxi could not stay as he had another job. After 10 minutes standing in the freezing cold and rain waiting for help that never arrived, I decided to climb the 6ft wall and walk the remaining 200m up the driveway to the hotel. In the morning I woke up and had a lukewarm shower so I was ready to leave at 0815. I jumped in my car, and drove down the drive to find the gate shut again. I rang the number over 30 times to no answer. There was no-one on reception and the property seemed to be abandoned apart from one other guest who was an older lady who had also been trying to leave since 0730 and having the same problem as me. After walking round the reception area I finally found another potential number to ring which put me through to another hotel in the area. The kind gentleman who I got through to at the other hotel rang the owner of my hotel personally, and FINALLY got the gate open at 0910 allowing myself and the other guest to leave.

    We could not stay it...

Pros: Nothing, the room was inhabitable. We left after the staff said they would give a refund but this was a lie. We are still waiting for our money back.
Cons: The flooded floor, the spiders, the damp, the rotten wood work, the mould, the cramped room, the loud party going on, the groups of men hanging around smoking odd substances.
