Cons: Food in buffet - fast food style. Plates all covered with finger prints and grease. But, most of all - NOT MUCH SHADE on the pool area. Even in preferred club - umbrellas do not provide enough shade. Resort needs improvement!!!

Cons: The main issue here was the customer service. Youll notice from the booking page they advertise A la carte restaurants, however when we tried to book they told us there was no availability until after we left. It took emails to HQ in America to get a reservation. Thats not acceptable nor would I wish it on anyone else when youre paying 300-400 per night. The customer service is simply abysmal. The reception staff are not trained nor are they authorised to do anything or make any decisions. There are similarly good hotels in Sicily and elsewhere that dont cost what this one does and Ive NEVER been as disappointed in a brand as I am in the Grand Palladium Group following our trip to Sicily. The bar pool bar staff are very friendly (Antonio especially), other than that the staff are rude, untrained and not ready for the industry. The most ripped off Ive ever felt. If our issue is not rectified and resolved by the Grand Palladium Group, we shall be cancelling our trip to TRS Turquesa in Punta Cana next year which wouldve been my third visit. The manager and reception staff want sacking. They do not know how to deal with people: weve travelled for weeks with no issue until our special stay which has been a massive disappointment.

Amazing hotel, dont use the taxi!

Pros: The Resort is lovely, the food is amazing. Tried all the ala carte restaurants, my partner loved the Thai, but I preferred Portofino, but even the buffet food is amazing. Cocktails are the best Ive ever had at an all inclusive. Lovely beach and swimming pools

Cons: This is not specifically about the hotel, but the hotel is not accessible by public transport and the only taxi in the area has a monopoly and will tell you one price (10) and then charge extortionate prices just because he can (50 for a 10 minute drive to the train station). The train station is only about an hour gentle walk (straight line no hills) so unless youve got a lot of baggage its worth walking to avoid using the price gouging taxi

Pros: Food from Restaurant Xtra time (Sport bar) The pools Many different areas to lay down the sun and relax. Kids club and kids club area with the pool. Natalia and Zara were very friendly and nice to the kids. They played a lot and had really fun. The games and activities they had were creative and foccudes to the whole group.

Cons: It's really difficult to book a spot for the a la cart restaurants at night, even with 3 or 4 days in advance, so you mostly finish eating from the buffet. Buffet repeats almost the same every day, just a few changes on the options. Food is just ok, the highlight were the desserts. Poor options on cocktails. If you want to have something that's not on the list, they will charge. (Ex; espresso martini - same ingredients listed in the all inclusive and super easy to make). Its missing a sandwich toaster for the Breakfast. The tennis courts need maintenance. Just one person working on spa treatments, so we couldn't book any. You can see the effort put by the entertaining team, but need more support and some infraestructure. Night shows were not at the expected level.

Pros: Huge territory, spacious, renovated and comfortable rooms with various entertaining activities. Food was great, excellent variety every day! I was very impressed by the service in the restaurant whether its lunch, dinner or breakfast. Staff is friendly, prompt. The organisation is at high level, as in the michelin star restaurant. I enjoyed my everyday yoga with Natalia, wish there was an option for an 1 hour course :) Also, big appreciation for the head animator of the evening shows! what a professional comedian and how it was interesting to witness the shows and to participate in it. Antony, the pianist, was one of a kind! Every evening in the lobby we were enjoying the live music and it was a delight! The hotel exceeded my exactions and I definitely aim to come back!

Pros: A lot of facilities available. Always good choices of food at Sicana. Delicious and remarkable dessert, we need to thanks for it particularly Sabrina and Liborio Helpful and polite staff, especially Sheila, Francesco, and one of the breakfast chefs Gianni. Definitely recommend!

Cons: The floor of the room was quite dirty. We suggest the guests to take a mosquitoes repellent for the room as we got bitten quite badly on the first night.

Exceptional place to stay

Pros: The location is stunning. The whole resort is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Staff are extremely professional and very well trained and extremely helpful. Especially the crew in the extra time bar Salvo,Angelo, Giusi(fragolina), Giovanni L saverio, nunzio, and Gianlucca. I could not find any fault with this place. Selection of food available was excellent and considering the size of the place and the amount of staff it is extremely well organised. Would definitely recommend this place and will return again.

Not recommended

Pros: The a la carte restaurants were good, we enjoyed the food (although keep in mind that you have to reserve these restaurants and only 2 reservations per stay are possible). Nice coffee and great drinks at the bar across from the reception. Many staff near the pools were nice and helpful.

Cons: Unfortunately I cannot give a good review for this hotel like many people here. We had a bad experience and we honestly think this hotel doesn't deserve it's 5 stars due to low quality of many services. First of all, upon arrival we were made to wait for 2 hours with hungry and crying small children because apparently there was a mistake in the booking and it was made for 2 people (even though in every e-mail from the booking it was stated 4 people). They immediately forced us to pay an amount of 1100 euros for 5 days for the children even before allowing us to enter our room (the room was not upgraded). I have never seen staff in any hotel treat guests this way. The rooms were old, the doors were dirty. During meals in the main restaurant you could feel the stress of the staff - tables were often not cleaned because there were so many people (in what 5 star hotel do you have to clean your own table?!). Not to mention the coffee during breakfast - long lines to get coffee and it tasted like water. The quality of the food in the main buffet restaurant was very poor. The pools were old and the floor was peeling off. Many bathrooms did not even have soap and were just dirty. I do not recommend this hotel and we will definitely not be coming back. It has also become a nightmare and a huge waste of time due to the endless emails with booking.com over the unfair amount of money charged for the children.

Pros: Everything you need for a relaxing restful holiday. Good food / drinks selection and a nice blend of pools and sea with lots of activities throughout the day in pool and garden

Cons: Entertainment was quite late in the evening at 10 start. Nothing nearby to walk to, so you need to get the shuttle to shops etc.

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, something for everyone!

Pros: A large hotel complex with lots of activities for both adults and children. Rooms are spacious and clean with plenty of storage and a mini fridge which is re-stocked daily. The pool areas can get very noisy, we found the designated sandy beach area quieter, it's cleaned of any pebbles/stones daily although the coastline itself is very pebbly. All the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. We booked a couples massage which was amazing, very relaxing. The buffet restaurant food is varied & has something for everyone. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

Cons: It can get very noisy near the pools, as a couple we would consider upgrading to the signature level for a quieter more relaxed stay if we returned.
