Pros: The property was exceptionally clean, and the staff very friendly. The location was very convenient to the slippery rock University.

Pros: As far as the hotel itself the lobby and the room was clean that was not the problem. I didn't actually spend the night because it was not posted anywhere on booking.com or on the hotels website that the pool was closed for renovations. So upon learning this when we went down to the pool in our swimsuits we immediately went back to our room changed and checked out we were only there for 15 to 20 minutes.

Cons: I booked this hotel for the night before my daughter's cheer competition. I chose this hotel because it was close to the location and it had a pool and my daughter was very excited to swim. Nowhere on booking.com or the hotel's website did it state that the pool was closed for renovations. Nor did any staff advise us of this upon checking in. My family went up to our room and immediately changed into our swimsuits and headed down to the pool. As we exited the elevator a staff member who was cleaning in the hallway told us that the pool was closed for renovations. My seven-year-old daughter immediately started to cry! So we proceeded back to our room change back into our clothes packed up all over items and went downstairs to the lobby to check out. I was able to find a hotel about 25 minutes away that did have a functioning pool so I booked there. I spoke with the gentleman at the service desk and told him we would not be spending the night because the only reason we booked at this location was for the pool. I asked for a refund at this time and was told that I would need to go through booking.com to get my refund since I paid through them. I contacted booking.com and they put in the refund request to the hotel. The hotel refused my refund and booking.com advised me I would need to contact the hotel directly. I called and asked to speak to the manager of this hotel four times. Each time I was told the manager was in a meeting and I was put through to her voicemail. I left several messages with my name and phone number and never once received a call back from the manager. The fifth time I called the location whoever answered at the desk once again told me the manager was in a meeting and then asked asked if I was Jessica and informed me that they had issued me a refund the day before and sent me an email stating so. I checked my email and I had not received an email from the hotel at all and then 25 minutes later an email came through.

Pros: Breakfast was great, a lot of variety and real food. The staff was very nice.

Cons: Renovations had the pool and hot tub closed, we weren’t told when we made reservations. After a cold day outside for the tour we were looking forward to the hot tub. The beds were uncomfortable. The water had a really bad taste.
