Cons: This venue falls short of a 4-star rating, marking it as the least satisfactory hotel Ive encountered in the past 6-7 years. The hotel was approximately an 8-10 minute drive from the ski area, but the condition of the road leading from the hotel was very poor, marked by numerous large potholes. Upon entering our room, we were unpleasantly surprised by the notably dirty floor. Despite a 4-hour window for cleaning before check-in (check-out is at 11am and check-in needs to happen after 3pm) the room was not adequately prepared. Throughout our 5-night stay, room cleaning occurred only once, limited to bed-making and towel changes. The pool, located in a separate building, offered an unwelcoming experience due to excessively cold water, forcing my child to leave after just 10 minutes because she was shivering. Despite assurances of receiving pool towels from the reception, they were unavailable, all guests were bringing towels from their rooms. Despite having paid 30 BGN per person for one entrance at the hotels spa, we visited to allow my child some enjoyment in the pool. They had also there a steam bath and 2 saunas. Communication proved very challenging, as restaurant staff lacked any English knowledge. An attempt to order a corn-topped pizza resulted in a margherita with tomatoes. At the a-la-carte restaurant, the menu had several options, but they only had available only cheeseburger and pizzas for dinner. One evening, a stray cat from around the hotel entered the restaurant, jumped on a few tables, sniffing the plates and eating the food rests. There was no intervention or concern from the staff. The breakfast was decent, but after 9:30 they would not bring any more food, although breakfast was until 10:30. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, inadequate amenities, and language barriers marred our stay at this purported 4-star establishment.

Pros: Our 3rd visit here and it keeps getting better. Lovely hotel set in the peaceful forest but less than 10 mins into borovets centre by the free shuttle (or 20 lev taxi, 30 lev for 6/7 people). Love the new pool area and restaurant, as well as the games room for kids with toys and films on each night. Really nice touch. Changing rooms are available as this building is separate to the rooms/ main building. Room was spacious with a good shower. Getting a little tired but all very clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice from fruit and yoghurt to hot english breakfast options. Juice and coffee available which was also decent. Staff were all friendly, any reviews saying otherwise likely don't bother to try and speak their language. Their culture is also a little more straight faced than the UK but all very pleasant if you are also pleasant to them! Sauna area is now a separate paid option but at 30 lev per day I think its a reasonable cost as everything else included is such good value they need to make a little extra in other places.

Cons: Could do with more hooks on the door/ bathroom door as well as more hangers. We only had 5 which isn't enough really when drying ski stuff too.

Cons: We were given a different/cheaper room to what we booked, meaning someone had to stay on a sofa bed. When we questioned this, we were told the room we booked was only available through their website, which obviously isnt the case as we booked through booking.com.

Cons: The water temperature in the pool is fine, but its very cold in the area itself, so nit convenient for kids. It was cold for us adults as well. We found out there is a kids room and events only at the checkout. We wish we knew more about it during our stay.

Pros: Rooms were big, everything was clean. Breakfast and dinner was good. Underground parking was very useful. Kids loved playing outside in the snow and also in the gaming room.

Cons: The sofa bed was uncomfortable. The shuttle driver wasn't very friendly, we asked him to move the car closer to the entrance and he refused; we were 3 families with children and we wanted to put the ski equipment in the back of the car (11 ski pairs and poles). They didn't have any electric chargers, but in the parking lot were a lot of 220V sockets, and they didn't let us use it.
