Fawlty Towers Staff, good hotel

Pros: Loved the location. The room was excellent. Nearby restaurants were plenty.

Cons: Check in was likely Fawlty Towers. Chaotic and unprofessional. Receptionists using radios to communicate to housekeeping staff. Room not ready until 45 mins after stated time. We waited. Staff couldn't focus on serving one person at a time. Floor still wet from cleaning on our arrival.

Cons: This hotel is in need of modernisation... Over priced, very old facilities, dirty Carpets, slow Internet, noisy old aircon, thin curtains. And when I brought this matter up to reception he just shrugged his shoulders. The rooms are nothing like the photo... Totally misled.. Hotel is rubbish

Pros: Great location!

Cons: I emailed ahead of time to inquire about parking and potential pricing, and was told "Don't worry about it"... Which to me means it is not an additional charge. It was, in fact, an additional charge, and the hotel staff were rude and dismissive about it. The price of parking was more than my daily car rate (in case you're wondering why I rented a car, we had a road trip planned post-Madrid, and it made sense for us to get the car upon arrival instead of wasting time later). Otherwise, a reasonable value and great location, if I didn't have such a sour taste from that deceptive charge.
