About Days Inn By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is a hotel chain started by Cecil B. Day and opened its first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The second hotel came in the same year at Forsyth, Georgia with hotel rooms starting $8 a night.

Days Inn’s earlier years were quite tough. The lack of maid service was the initial issues Day had to go through after creating the brand. As a temporary solution, he had to ask help from his children to make up the beds in the hotel rooms. Furniture needed in the hotel were hauled to the location by Day’s mother, on her wagon because the truck was too heavy to go through the bridge to reach the first Days Inn hotel in Tybee. With 60 rooms and a set of friends who had no confidence on Day’s investment, Days Inn Tybee Island got a 100% occupancy in April 1970 and became a success from then on. Franchises became available in 1972 and by 1978, there are already more than 300 Days Inn hotels in the United States, Mexico as well as Canada.

Now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Days Inn has over 1900 properties operating in different parts of the world.

    Unsanitary and unsafe

    Pros: DID NOT LIKE THE HOTEL FIRST THE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGER VERY RUDE AND SMOKING IN THE LOBBY AND IN THE HALLS AND THE MANAGER WITH A TANK TOP SHIRT AND WE HAD TO RING A DOOR BELL AND JUST VERY RUDE .
    Cons: WHAT I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT TGE EMPLOYEES AND THE MANGER WERE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. WHEN WE WALKED INTO THE ROOM THE WINDOW WAS OPEN THE SCREEN IS BROKEN AND THE BEDS ARE DIRTY AND THE FLOORS VERY DIRTY AND THE BATHROOM AND THE WALLS VERY DITY WITH HAND STAIN AND THE OUTLETS VERY DANGEROUS AND SPECIAL FOR A BABY AND THE TUB WAS VERY DIRTY AND I BROUGHT MY CLEANING PRODUCT AND THE WATER CAME OUT VERY BLACK AND THE FLOOR WAS FILLED WITH HAIR AND DOG HAIR. AND I HAVE PICTURES AND NOTHING LIKE YOU GUYS ARE SHOWING. AND WE ENDED UP GETTING OUT OF THE HOTEL AND GOING TO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND BEFORE IT HAPPENS TO ANYONE DONT PUT THIS ON YOUR APP AND IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THE NO STARS AND THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS IT SHOULD BE CLOSE DOWN AND BOOKING.COM DON'T PUT THIS ON YOUR APP BECAUSE ITS UNSAFE PLACE TO STAY.     Pros: There was no breakfast offered. It was easy to get to & was very easy to check in. We were tuning pianos in Wellsville so had to stay overnight in the area since we live a good distance from the town. We'll be staying there again next trip.

    Don’t. It’s a horrible experience

    Pros: Did they breakfast because the owner is a lazy 3’ tall douche with little man syndrome
    Cons: Tv didn’t work. When I complained the owner came to my room and said it was fine just an internet issue. But the coaxial was obviously broken so when I went back up he was very rude partly due to his screaming kids he had there behind a locked door

    Discouraging but suitable for our...

    Pros: Close to Hermann MO.
    Cons: The original room that my daughters were supposed to be in. The door couldn’t be locked. It smelled and the window had been left open. They were moved to another room which worked out fine. When making the reservations the description stated that the hotel had breakfast but this wasn’t the case and it had been that way for some time. Very disappointing.

    Pros: Easy access to the highway
    Cons: No breakfast as stated, the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke,seemed that some people were living at the hotel as they were carrying boxes in, square holes cut in the window screen (that leads to a big assumption) window was filthy, didn't feel to safe

    Unfortunately, I would never stay here.

    Pros: Location was close to the interstate.
    Cons: The entire building reeked of cigarette smoke. The stairs leading to our room were filthy. Our room smelled of smoke even though it was a no smoking room. There was a stain on one of the bed's bedding. The room was very dated and the towels in the bathroom that were supposed to be white, were yellowed. The only good thing was they did give me my refund.
