About Days Inn By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is a hotel chain started by Cecil B. Day and opened its first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The second hotel came in the same year at Forsyth, Georgia with hotel rooms starting $8 a night.

Days Inn’s earlier years were quite tough. The lack of maid service was the initial issues Day had to go through after creating the brand. As a temporary solution, he had to ask help from his children to make up the beds in the hotel rooms. Furniture needed in the hotel were hauled to the location by Day’s mother, on her wagon because the truck was too heavy to go through the bridge to reach the first Days Inn hotel in Tybee. With 60 rooms and a set of friends who had no confidence on Day’s investment, Days Inn Tybee Island got a 100% occupancy in April 1970 and became a success from then on. Franchises became available in 1972 and by 1978, there are already more than 300 Days Inn hotels in the United States, Mexico as well as Canada.

Now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Days Inn has over 1900 properties operating in different parts of the world.

    Cons: $100 Deposit when I was told there wouldn't be with paying with a card. Front desk worker came out barefoot and waited over ten minutes to get him to come to the desk to check me in. Wasn't told about any wifi or breakfast or the times. I had a bloody nose and he walked out with the washcloth in his hand full of blood and never washed his hands and then proceeded with my check out to get the deposit. Never asked how many keys I wanted. Dog poop in the hallways

    Very good as I said thier English will improve nice people

    Pros: Remodeling entire motel it was cool everywhere but with half of motel being painted is understandable. Heater worked well room I stayed in very clean as w as lobby. Awesome mattress need to see what kind next time there. communication was uneasy but they are making an old motel come back. Give them a try my ancestors started so.eplace too. Good job

    Very good as I said...

    Pros: Remodeling entire motel it was cool everywhere but with half of motel being painted is understandable. Heater worked well room I stayed in very clean as w as lobby. Awesome mattress need to see what kind next time there. communication was uneasy but they are making an old motel come back. Give them a try my ancestors started so.eplace too. Good job

    Very Poor

    Pros: Nothing! Warning! DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL! BED BUGS! Rude manager. Stole 20 dollars for 2 ripped towels they gave us. The bed bugs were free though. And must give 100 dollar deposit.
    Cons: Everything. DO NOT STAY THERE! BED BUGS. BREAKFAST HAS NO EGGS OR sausage or gravy. Old waffle mix was sour. Manager does not speak English and is rude and a thief. Took 20 $ from deposit for 2 ripped towels they provided. Refused to provide reciept
