About Days Inn By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is a hotel chain started by Cecil B. Day and opened its first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The second hotel came in the same year at Forsyth, Georgia with hotel rooms starting $8 a night.

Days Inn’s earlier years were quite tough. The lack of maid service was the initial issues Day had to go through after creating the brand. As a temporary solution, he had to ask help from his children to make up the beds in the hotel rooms. Furniture needed in the hotel were hauled to the location by Day’s mother, on her wagon because the truck was too heavy to go through the bridge to reach the first Days Inn hotel in Tybee. With 60 rooms and a set of friends who had no confidence on Day’s investment, Days Inn Tybee Island got a 100% occupancy in April 1970 and became a success from then on. Franchises became available in 1972 and by 1978, there are already more than 300 Days Inn hotels in the United States, Mexico as well as Canada.

Now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Days Inn has over 1900 properties operating in different parts of the world.

    Pros: It was close to my destination.
    Cons: The room 218 is infested with either bed bugs or some other bed bitter. I was eaten up pretty good. I have pics I have advised the front desk, they hung up on me, I then reported it to the Days Inn home office.

    Request to see your room first...

    Pros: I could fit in the bathtub.
    Cons: The TV didn't work properly. There was loose wiring hanging out of the wall. The room smelled like an ashtray. Half the outlets didn't work. There were massive amounts of calcium deposites all over the faucets. There were pointed ends of screws coming through the headboard. The dust ruffle was stained and ripped. The carpet was sticky. I'm pretty sure the walls used to be white but are now yellow with nicotine stains. The fire alarm was covered with plastic. The fridge didn't work.

    Poor

    Gross.. but I guess you get what you pay for

    Pros: It was close to the road so I could get outta there.
    Cons: It was dirty, smelled bad, the toilet didnt flush properly, the carpet in the room was filthy, the refrigerator didnt get cold, the showerhead was sputtering, everything stinks, and it seems like homeless people live there

    It was a very terrible stay

    Pros: Nothing
    Cons: Booked 7 rooms and they were terrible, the doors hard to open, they didnt locked, toilet broke, Ceiling coming apart. No bathroom door.

    Cons: People calling law on me fir no reason and sheriff's trying to find something to put me in jail the property didn't serve the hot breakfast like advertised

    Comfy, but breakfast was disappointing.

    Pros: comfy bed and close to Kings Dominion
    Cons: breakfast was barely anything

    Cons: Breakfast was toast and cereal, but the sign says hot breakfast made daily and there is a huge grill in the kitchen.

    Horrible attitude from Staff

    Pros: The swimming pool was nice.
    Cons: Front desk attendant, very rude. Room was not clean. We arrived in the lobby to have breakfast. At 8 AM there was no food outbut toast and some juice and milk.
