Incredibly disappointing. I save money and did quite a bit of research. The photos are a bait and switch

Pros: Honestly? Only thing I can think of is it was quiet.

Cons: I went for the private beach and pools. No beach, chair or umbrellas. Again when tide was low you could fit 6-8 maybe but no longe chairs

All in all we liked Costa Sur and would probably stay there again if they made a few simple changes.

Pros: The staff was awesome! Also location was nice and quiet for the most part.

Cons: Not enough umbrellas for everyone. They only had 8 umbrellas around the pool and many more lounges. People come early in the morning to save what few there are and then leave their towels there all day. More loungers with more umbrellas would be a huge plus, especially for the people that cant get down the stairs to the beach or dont care to sit by the beach. Also, the sewer smell was sometimes unbearable..to the point of making a person nauseous. That would be great if fixed. The rooms need some serious upgrading. Although they were clean for the most part things were falling apart and in dire need of repair.

Pros: Location to downtown, nice beach with swimming and nice pools for relaxing, also loved all the entertainment!

Cons: The smell near the quiet pool, and if they could stock the kitchenette with some salt/pepper and sugar and some better cooking utensils.

Pros: The beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Staff were always very friendly and humorous.

Lot's of Mexican charm far from the excitement of the Malecon

Pros: My oceanfront RENOVATED studio was nice, clean and large; shallow balcony right on the water. All appliances in good working condition, comfortable bed. Staff was friendly. Great refried beans at the restaurant.I like that it is Mexican owned and many Nationals also vacation there. They carry Heiniken 0.0. Bus stop directly across from hotel for a quick (about 12 minutes,) cheap ride into town and the Malecon.

Cons: Pool was much smaller than it appeared in the photo which meant competition for poolside lounge chairs. I got persuaded to attend a "no pressure" vacation club presentation. Ha, that doesn't exist. The presentation deeply impacted the rest of my stay. Hotel was on main road with high traffic; one night, not even the crashing sea waves could drown out the traffic noise. It was a Monday night, maybe Tuesdays many are off in PV? Restaurant food was good enough, but overpriced.

Lovely views and a relaxing atmosphere

Pros: The beds were comfy and the view was wonderful from the balcony! We also enjoyed being on the little beach.

Cons: There was some traffic noise from the road but if I kept the bathroom window closed and the door to the bathroom closed you really didn't notice it. And I could open the balcony for the sound of waves! The restaurant was pricey and the food was mediocre

Pros: The room was cleaned daily. It was quiet and peaceful. Bed was comfortable. Loved our view!

Cons: Hair dryer unit was missing from wall. Hair dryer worked but had to lie on counter. The top of the dresser was marred quite a bit. The light fixture on one side of bed did not work. Reported the issue but it was never fixed. I think the room needed some attention.

Pros: All of the staff are so wonderful, truly the best part of the experience outside of the stunning location and view of the water. Also, it's nice and quiet, and not overrun with tourists. A very unique boutique experience.

Cons: I found the cuisine to be rather regular, but considering the clientele is mostly seniors, I know how picky they can be. Having a few special dishes for the adventurous types might be fun once in awhile.

A little dated but with its own charm, plus a great value.

Pros: Location and views are stunning. Further away from the busier areas so has a definite tranquility about it. Oceanside views in all rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gym on site with a great view. Would recommend overall if you want something with a little more character and quaint than staying at a more modern building, and dont mind those trade offs.

Cons: Slightly dated. Gym advertised but its a little limited. AC doesnt work very well. Onsite restaurants were definitely not great, but serviceable. Tiny kitchen
