Cons: The problem was that I wanted a twin room and thought it was confirmed whwn I booked but the booking.com request wasn’t translated to the hotel and I ended up on a camp bed . This seems to be the fault of booking.com not passing on the info to the hotel at the time of booking. In future I would recommend booking direct

Pros: The hotel was in the middle of the city (can get to old town square in 5 mins) and all the staff was very friendly and accommodative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, perfect for a long weekend stay.

Cons: - poor service - chaotic staff - Charging for bottled water in the room - No pool/spa despite 5 star - poor English - Limited Vegan options at the buffet breakfast - lack of transparency of what the charge for at buffet breakfast and what is included. They chase after you even after checking out with surprise extra costs

Pros: The hotel is beautiful inside, the room was nice and the bed was super comfy. Room really quiet. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons: No lounge, no bar. Parking 900kc per night. If you do t want to stay in your room, your only option is to go to the restaurant 'Next Door'. But this is also open to the public. Run by Czechs Gordon Ramsey. Open kitchen, fantastic to watch. This restaurant also doubles for the breakfast room for hotel guests.

Pros: Great location, clean rooms, great room cleaning service all of the cleaning staff were friendly and polite and changed towels out each day. The room was spotless and the restaurant food was very good, a nice selection and properly cooked options.

Cons: May have just been unlucky but we found most of the staff rude. On check-in we were stood next to a middle aged non-English couple (checking in speaking English), the desk clerk said they had booked the identical room to us, the only exception that we paid for breakfast on top and they did not. The clerk offered the couple their room straight away or offered them to wait a short while and they could have a larger upgraded room on the higher floor. On our check in we were given the standard room with no upgrade option at all, the room looked very tired and outdated compared to the rest of the hotel. The window may as well not have been there as it looked at a concrete wall. I went back to the reception concierge service and requested a room change to a higher floor or a room without such a bleak view and was very rudely told no. We got dressed up that night to head out for an evening meal, walking through the lobby we saw the manager who gave us a very dismissive look like he didn't think we should be there. Extremely rude and no hospitality at all, we were not made to feel welcome. We stayed a total of 3 nights and had breakfast each morning, we watched in growing frustration as other non-English couples were shown to their seats and immediately brought coffee to the table. Every single morning without fail we greeted the staff and gave our room number, they stood at the desk and pointed across the room to tell us what table to sit, always in the busy traffic areas next to the food where people knock by us. Every single morning we had to stop a member of staff and request coffee as nobody came over and offered us any like they did with other nationalities. Overall we left feeling extremely insulted and angry at the way we were treat during our stay. I could only put this down to us being English. I'd recommend for other nationalities but if you are from the UK then stay away. This was our anniversary and this spoiled what was otherwise a nice holiday.
