Great but no food at the weekend

Pros: Everything we needed for an overnight pit stop with the dog. Slept wonderfully and had a good shower and breakfast.

Cons: The restaurant was closed for evening meals at the weekend and we didn't know this when we booked. The Brasserie pizzeria Marius at L'Ortega hotel over the road was open though so we were able to go there. The Campanile just suggested 'snacking' which wasn't very helpful!

Pros: Very helpful reception staff provided us with information on how to get the metro into Rennes centre. Clean comfortable rooms. Free parking outside hotel and bakery close by.

Cons: I arrived at this property, and after parking in the garage and unloading my vehicle with all my luggage, I got to the elevator only to find that it didn't work. So I had to take the stairs and carry everything to the ground floor. I spoke with the front desk person in the lobby, who was the only one working at that time, who informed me that the elevator that accessed the parking garage was out of order and that the manager was getting bids to see which company they would go with the fix the elevator. I then proceeded to my room only to find out the air conditioning didn't work. I returned to the front desk and told the man working that the air conditioning was not working. He said he needed to come up and check the unit, so he went up to the room and checked it himself and found that it was indeed broken. I asked if he could open the windows, but he said it was impossible because they were welded shut due to safety. We went back to the front desk; he checked to see if there were any other rooms like the one I requested available. There were none! So I called booking.com and spoke with a representative. I explained the problem. Booking.com called the front desk person on the hotel phone, and the staff member explained that the room had no air conditioning, but he had no other available rooms. So, the booking.com representative told me he could do nothing and suggested I ask for a fan. I asked the representative whether I would be refunded because the hotel was not able to provide a room with the amenities they promised to offer, leaving me no choice but to sleep in a hot room with the windows closed and no airconditioning; I was told yes I would be refunded. Booking.com emailed the manager that day requesting a refund due to the broken amenities they didn't provide. The management would not return booking.com's emails. Bookings contacted the hotel four times to get a resolution because the manager would ignore their emails.

Pros: it was really clean and stuff were nice.

Cons: our room kept having toilet flush problem. The water didn't stop twice during we stayed. But we call reception and stuff came and fixed it.

Pros: Overnight before our bike trip in Brittany. Hotel personnel very bike-positive. Great breakfast, practical, clean rooms. We left our cars for a week in the parking. Top location for our trip!
