A lovely hotel with tons...

Pros: The hotel has so much character, the room was lovely with a fireplace that made it extra cosy, live music in the welcoming lounge in the evening, a heated pool, pretty gardens, beautiful location with a gorgeous walk through the woods to the picturesque town with interesting shops.

Cons: I gave an 8 instead of a 10 because I booked a forest view room and although we could see the trees beyond, our immediate view was of a huge piece of heavy machinery and not the forest which was a shame because the forest location really is beautiful.

Absolutely fantastic

Pros: It's such a beautiful lodge with everything so well maintained. The restaurant, the lounge with live music, hot pool, beautiful gardens, massive rooms, and breakfast. We enjoyed everything! Staff is so friendly , easy checking, free parking and exceptionally clean.

Cons: There was nothing to complain about. Everything was fantastic.

Pros: I love the grounds of the hotel. The gardens everywhere were very pretty and there were lots of paths to go on walks. I also liked the fireplace when it got cold. The breakfast was also a huge bonus! I would recommend getting there early because it does get crowded.

Cons: When I walked into the room it didn't look like the picture on booking.com. it said I was supposed to have a superior Queen and there were tons of places where paint was coming off of the walls and it just gave me a Feeling that I was in a room that wasn't cared for or taken care of. When I asked the office about my room they said it came in as just a regular double Queen room. I'm not sure what the title Superior or Deluxe means and how they differentiate but I can tell you that my room did not have an air conditioner and sometimes it does get warm and you only have a little window to open. They did bring me a fan but the room just felt cramped Overall the staff was friendly however on my birthday I went into the lounge to order a drink and I have never been treated so rudely in my life by the bartender.. I asked him if I could get it to go cup because that's what the front desk said I could do if I wanted to take my drink outside and his response was well I don't want to get in trouble and I don't know who told you that but you can't just go anywhere with the drink and then walked off and helped someone else. When he came back I said Is this where I order my drink and he said yes and I gave him my drink order and he got it wrong. He was so rude that I felt so uncomfortable going back to make it right. I know he was busy but that is no excuse to treat people like you are better than them and like don't matter.

Overall it was a pleasant...

Pros: I enjoyed the heated pool and the scenery around the whole grounds. The beach was not far at all away, yes driving definitely not walking distance.

Cons: The spa was packed all night so we could not enjoy getting in because their was a bridal party. I am glad they had a great time but it was mostly kids with the bridal party. The adults should have asked all 15 kids to let the adults use it considering the pool was heated. Like I said I'm glad they all had fun we just spent good money on our vacation to not get to use the spa at all. At breakfast they ran out of eggs and it was still very early about 2-3 hours left of the breakfast. We had to go into the town and find a breakfast spot instead.

Pros: Good property for an overnight stay before visiting Hearst Castle in the morning. They had EV charging. Good breakfast
