    Pros: We liked the location the best. We liked the quietness and the courtyard appearance. Entry way was welcoming. Easy to rent a golf cart for the day and direct access to the beach. We felt safe.
    Cons: We didn't like that every time we had a question the person behind the desk would walk around to their double sided windows to solve our problem. I was like, what are they hiding, just seems sketchy.

    Pros: 10 yards from one of the best beaches in Mexico!
    Cons: This is a relatively modest accomodation. The room is large and clean but the hotel is about 50 years old and it can show - iffy water pressure etc.. But who cares!? Its Mexico and on the beach! Cabanas is an amazing value and a comfortable stay.

    Great location, Lovely staff!

    Pros: Location is great because it's next to the beach. Nice having the drinking water on the hallway :) Restaurants are close by Air conditioner worked great! Great to have the golf car rental at the hotel. Liked the swimming pool!
    Cons: Shower head didn't work in both our rooms. Didn't look like it was something major to fix but it would have made a difference for us, you need to shower on a hot day. Staff was very nice when you could get them, they stayed behind the wall, they were probably busy but they don't stay long at the counter (probably air conditioned behind the counter)

    We had the best relaxing 3 days on the island.

    Pros: The position of the hotel right on to the North beach was simply amazing. The hotel was only a very short safe walk to the Main Street for bars and restaurants.
    Cons: We didnt use the voucher that was offered for a morning coffee.

    Location, comfort and relaxed vibe

    Pros: The location of this hotel is unbeatable for access to the beach at Playa Norte as well as shops, bars and food outlets. The more modern Castle Rooms I have stayed in are spacious and airy while the Ground Floor / Cabanas have lovely rustic decor and charm. Both are very reasonably priced compared to the fancier places nearby
    Cons: When I have visited wi-fi has only been available in the pool area / reading nook and Buhos cafe, which is not ideal

    Nice location in an attractive area - somewhat worn, but you get what you pay for

    Pros: the hotel has a very good location, if you are into beaches with luxury yachts and American tourists drinking Corona at the water's edge :-) (not a bad word about that, I fully understand it is ideal to go on holiday to Isla Mujere and relax with a beer - we're just not used to see that in Europe). There was a station with free drinking water supply. I think that's good style. The breakfast that was included was simple, but nice - and served in a fantastic beach restaurant.
    Cons: We arrived on a rainy day - litterly faeces came up the drains and there was a smell of .... in the whole area. I think there has been a lot of bacteria in the water the following days. The hotel is simple, you get what you pay for. Service is OK and reasonably engaged. We didn't use the pool - but it looked nice.

    Castle room was great - clean and comfortable.

    Pros: The property and restaurant was right on Norte Beach which is the main beach area - the best location. Cold purified water available in the hallway
    Cons: The original room purchased (ground floor cabanas) we were given was mouldy and dirty so we had to request to change to the Castle room which we had to pay extra for (thankfully not much) but it wasnt ideal to have to change rooms after 29 hours of travelling and being so late at night. Castle rooms were significantly better and massively improved out trip/stay

    Wonderful

    Great Time in Isla Mujeres! Beautiful location!

    Pros: The location was only steps away from the beautiful, calm Playa Norte. It was very convenient and relaxing for snorkeling and swimming very close to our rooms. Lots of restaurants and street tacos are only right around the block from our location at Cabaas Marie Del Mar!
    Cons: Staff were slow checking people in and out because they were also responsible for renting and checking in golf cart rentals as well as providing pool towels to guests.
