I recently stayed at Best...
Pros: I recently stayed at Best Western River North and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Firstly, the room had a strong odor of cigarettes/old people, which was unpleasant. Secondly, the key didn't work for two days, leading to multiple trips to the lobby to swap it out. Additionally, the bed had a noticeable dent, making it uncomfortable to sleep, and the restroom floor wasn't level.
During check-in, there was an issue with the payment machine, and I was told I could pay later. However, the next morning, I received a call from Jordan demanding immediate payment, which was unprofessional and unsettling, especially considering it was 7 am. He even charged my card without permission before I could meet him downstairs.
Furthermore, there was a lack of communication among the staff. I was given conflicting information about the checkout time, leading to an unpleasant encounter with Jordan when we were told to leave the room earlier than expected. His rude and condescending behavior was unacceptable.
Regarding amenities, the "free food" provided was subpar, and navigating the hotel layout was confusing.
On a positive note, the hotel's location is convenient, with many restaurants and stores nearby.
In summary, my stay at Best Western River North was marred by various issues, particularly with the staff's professionalism and communication. I hope they address these issues to improve the overall guest experience.
Jordan will receive a -F for poor customer service. Stay off the drugs while at work, and stop pretending like you run the whole hotel.
