Comfortable, clean and friendly facilities....

Pros: The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was obvious that it had been updated recently. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and coffee and tea were available 24-7 in the lobby. Really enjoyed our stay. Restaurant on the property was a plus. Good food at good price.

Pros: How clean the room was and how pleasant the staff were.

Cons: We had requested a King Bedroom and didn't pay attention to the fact that it had a "Roll-In" Shower, obviously for handicap purposes. The set-up in the shower made it impractical for normal use as the shower head faced out into the rest of the bathroom area, the water spray would hit the shower curtain and leak (with pressure) out into the bathroom floor and made the floor dangerously slippery. We had to place towels on the floor for safety. I spoke to the front desk and offered the suggestion of installing a shower wand holder at one end or the other of the stall to allow for a "normal" use experience of the shower and to lower the danger of the slippery floor. They were very grateful for the suggestion.

Pros: I reserved for my daughter's bday & a gift for her engagement. We've stayed here before & I love it! Staff is so friendly & the facility is very clean.

Not nearly as nice as...

Pros: My husband and I and our dog have stayed here several times over the years. We always seem to stay at the holidays when we are traveling from our home in Lynchburg VA to our other home in New Brighton, PA. WE HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED STAYING HERE, until this time. The lady at the front desk was so rude and belligerent. She actually YELLED at us several times while we were filling out our information. My husband got three steps towards the door to go get our plate number on his new Jeep and she screamed...don't get the plate number! Make and model only! Later, we were struggling with the weird credit card machine and she showed us once and then did a huge dramatic sigh and said I told you NOT TO DO THAT! SHE was very unpleasant and impatient the entire time we were checking in. At the end of the check in procedure we mentioned we had our dog with us and she had a fit. She screamed, "Nobody said nothing about no dog to me!" So we had to go through the entire process again and for some reason, she even had to move our room to a different room. I knew there was a fee for having a dog. I said that we put that we were bringing our dog on our reservation and she argued with me for several minutes that there was no mention of any dog. She resigned herself to the idea that we had our dog with us and reran the paperwork and made us another key before we could finally leave to go to our room.

Cons: Before we left registration, we asked if we could have a late checkout at 12 noon. She replied, "Absolutely not. Checkout is 11am." As far as the room went, It was a typical hotel room, 2 Queen beds, TV, etc. The breakfast in the morning was nice. I had coffee, egg and cheese omelettes, sausage links and a muffin. But the people in the next room kept us from sleeping most of the night. Their dog barked incessantly. (Ours rarely barks. She didn't even bark at their yappy little dog.) They played their TV REALLY LOUD and yelled at each other and at the dog until the wee hours of the morning. We asked them to stop, but they completely ignored us. The walls must be paper thin because we could hear every word they said, none of them nice. I have never been able to hear the people in the next room so clearly before. But then I've never had them put us in a room clear up at the end of the hotel in the "dog wing" before. Also, there was no stopper at all in the bathroom sink and I came scarily near to dropping my toothbrush down the drain. We won't be back if we can avoid it.

Pros: A relaxing retreat. My family loves coming here. The staff works hard to keep everything super clean Ave comfy. From the linens to the floors everything will spotless. The breakfast has a good variety of options and is prepared well. Will be returning!

Enjoyed the coffee area and...

Pros: Somewhat difficult to find. Even with GPS. Could be better identified from the highway if possible. The small street sign doesn’t help either. Otherwise the location is great. I like that it is off the road and sits on the hill away from traffic. Thanks.
