Nice hotel on a beach, but wouldnt recommend for cyclists

Cons: I chose this hotel on the accueil velo website, and from such a big hotel I expected a secured bike storage under at least a roof. They only has bike racks outside and only those where a bike is attached by the wheel. The stuff didnt not allow us to put our bikes on a hotel balcony, so we had to leave them outside worrying if we would find them in place in the morning (the hotel is in the city center). In addition, there was a big storm the night we stayed, so our bikes were completely wet in the morning.

Perfectly located for a romantic stay.

Pros: Right on the beach, lovely hotel and just a short walk from the bars and restaurants. The staff were lovely especially the evening reception gentleman.

Location great, but...

Pros: The location was beautiful but only from a room with sea view. The garden view was a car park. Karen was fantastic, very helpful, kind and cheerful. Breakfast was OK.

Cons: No fridge in room, beds not comfortable, pretty dated and tired. Pool had robot in for the whole 3 days so unusable. Maxim was helpful when the hotel got our dates wrong and gave us a sea view room. The other blond guy on reception was rude, contemptuous, and abrupt when we spoke to him. He was very unfriendly. There was no recommendations for the jacuzzi etc (which looked really old) from staff, nor for good restaurants or excursions. This is a real missed opportunity as we would have happily paid for boat tour etc had it been offered. The tea and coffee facilities in room consisted of cheap paper cups, one sachet each of coffee and one of sugar. Cups were too hot to hold. No basic hotel toiletries provided and a severe lack of toilet paper. It's all a real shame as the setting is lovely. The general air of the hotel is tired and unbothered by anything. The lack of care and attention by the staff was notable, with the exception of Karen.

Pros: clean, nice room. quiet, comfy bed, good shower . balcony. Nice staff.

One night at the beach

Pros: The location on the beach. We didn't have breakfast but it looked like a good spread.

Cons: In the bathroom there was nowhere to hang the showerhead and the shower was cramped.

Great location & lovely staff

Pros: Comfy bed & room, very close to beach, lovely pool, relatively quiet at night. With the exception below, the staff - all female except one other male on reception - were really, really lovely & appreciated my attempts at the French language!

Cons: First receptionist - young male - not very welcoming! Not a great start.

Pros: The room was small and the toilet was separate which is fine but there was no sink. The hotel was basic in that it had no shampoo, shower caps etc.

Cons: The breakfast could have been better. The bakery nearby would be my choice.

Good hotel but needs a bit of tidying

Pros: Good location on the beach with a boardwalk which runs along the beach into town. Nice pool area and good breakfast although crockery kept running out. Room was big and comfortable with good air conditioning.

Cons: Parking is limited and not enough for all rooms. There are some lampposts and bollards in the car park which make this worse. Also parking spaces are not obvious. Could be easily rearranged to make more space. Parking on the street outside is limited and expensive- the staff just shrugged at this issue and didnt say there was on-street parking about 5 mins walk away. Staff who greeted us on reception were generally brusque and gave out limited information. Hotel on the side of the car park is scruffy with cracked tiles and a dank pond - needs tidying up.

Pros: Good location for the beach and also the port if needed.

Cons: Hotel is showing its age in the rooms. Many of the doors in the room were ill-fitting and did not close fully. Parking is limited.

Cons: No fridge in the room and Wi-Fi very intermittent.

Cons: The walls are a little thin. It is an aging hotel just beyond its prime but still charming, clean, and piced right.
