Beautiful place to relax

Pros: Beautiful hotel looking over Ushuaia. We wanted a spacious and nice place to stay once we got off our Antartica cruise and Arakur delivered. Breakfast was amazing, and the spa was the best place to relax and unwind. Room was spacious and clean. It is great that they allow access to the spa and showers after you check out. We had an afternoon flight so we took advantage.

Cons: Check-in seems to be strictly at 3pm. My sister tried to use the spa but she didnt have slides with her. Wish that they had some slippers so guests could use spa before check-in.

Totally overpriced

Pros: They have an infinity pool and a gym which not great but okay. Most of the staff was welcoming and helpful.

Cons: Not worth half of what they charge. Several things didnt work in my room (shower head, air con), yes they offered to fix it but I expect better at this price point. Then small things like: no cappuccino included in the breakfast, you would need to pay extra

A spectacular architectural gem at the bottom of the earth.

Pros: The site, perched on the side of a mountain provided a view of a glacier up the canyon and a terrific overwatch of the city and canal. Incredible spa, food, and facilities made for a nice visit.

Cons: The building had some rough edges on some of the entrances and the outdoor hot tub area. Probably due to the changing climate or lack of qualified maintenance technicians for the high end glass doors and pool equipment.

Fabulous place with outstanding views and beautiful hiking trails out the door!

Pros: Amazing view from our room and the common areas! Comfortable and clean room. Great bathroom with robes, double sink, soaking tub and separate shower. Good breakfast. We loved sitting in the bar/lounge and having dinner or a snack and drinks. There were beautiful hiking trails right out the hotel! The staff organized a car for us to take us where we needed to go, and he was awesome.

Cons: The location is far from town, but it is easy to get a car to take you in. There was also a shuttle at various times.

Beautiful room views, excellent spa and dining. Room furniture worn, service mediocre, not worth it

Pros: The spa especially the infinity pool was amazing. Also the dining room buffet food was excellent --especially the meat grill. The view (seaside) was excellent.

Cons: For the price of the rooms, the furniture looks scuffed up and worn. I didn't get a turn down service where they deliver water and chocolate one night. Also, the front desk staff was terrible -- had to wait a long time, there was confusion about booking a car to the airport, one robe was taken by the maid but I didn't get a replacement (used for spa). I had a do not disturb sign, but there was a mistake with a mushroom risotto that they were trying to deliver to my room -- but we had not ordered. I didn't think the value for the money was there as it was billed as a leading world hotel.

I expected better

Pros: The hotel is probably popular for the amazing views and it's outdoor Jacuzzi. Rooms are clean.

Cons: Considering that this hotel is part of the 'Leading Hotels of the World' our stay was relatively a disappointing one. The staff are nice and helpful and the rooms are clean. However, the rooms are in need of refurbishment and the provision of a coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been appreciated. Our stay included breakfast, which was not good at all, and requesting a cappuccino or any other coffee not being filtered it comes at a charge! Since the hotel is far from Ushuaia city, a free hourly shuttle bus is provided, but the buses are old and drivers not very safe (we nearly had an accident on one occasion and the driver reversed into a barrier!). At over 500 USD a night I expected better. I do not recommend this hotel.
