Fantastic Modern Hotel with Spa facilities, superb all round, located in the heart of Zermatt.

Pros: Superb Hotel, the spa facilities are fantastic, rooms are great, food is amazing and the staff are super friendly, if staying in Zermatt this is the hotel to stay in, 5 min walk from the train station or the hotel porter collects and drops guests off. This hotel is in the heart of Zermatt, 2 min walk to bars, restaurants and local supermarket, modern hotel you won't be disappointed staying here.

Cons: Absolutely nothing, the hotel is fantastic, one of the best hotels I've stayed in around the world. Reasonably priced food and drinks, free ebike hire, they even supply a backpack so you can explore Zermatt

Zermatt is a must do on a Swiss trip and the Alpenhof is a great place to start this journey

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, noise from construction was a little disturbing since we slept with doors open to cool room, spa was excellent

Cons: I stayed in this hotel 22 years ago. It has aged! The room was banged up. The bed was sub-par. The shower was designed for midgets rather than normal sized adults. The rooms need refreshing.

Absolutely fabulous hotel - cannot fault

Pros: The hotel was beautifully decorated and the room was fantastic with a mountain view. The hotel facilities were very impressive, including fantastic spa facilities, including indoor heated pool, outdoor heated spa and sauna plus a gymnasium. The staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. Free use of the hotel eMTB's was available as well and the bikes were a very good standard. Pros: All in all, a great hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was also excellent with a lot of choice. The room decor was fun and comfortable and the hotel staff was friendly and had even prepared a dog bed and bowls for our dog. The location is convenient if you want to go up the mountain to hike. The sauna and pools can also be recommended, we took advantage of them frequently during our stay.

Cons: The hotel is right at the stream, which is very noisy. However, the window insulation is great, so you barely, if at all, hear it. Otherwise, there is not really anything to criticize. We had a pleasant stay.

Would definitely love to come back. All around great hotel and great service!

Pros: The views are fabulous! The breakfast was great. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We got a great massage - very relaxing atmosphere. Loved how easy it was to store bags while we hiked and then get cleaned up the day we were leaving.

Cons: Could have been a little more communication on how to get to the hotel and shuttle upon arrival. We ended up walking to the hotel with our luggage. We did get a ride back though at end of our stay, which was great.
