Pros: Exploring the inland mountainous regions of Sardinia is one of the most extraordinary and under appreciated experiences of visiting this Island. Hotel Aldiola is the perfect place from which to explore the inland regions while also having remarkably easy access to the coast. The property itself is beautiful and the staff extraordinary.

Pros: Very nice location with views over the lake and mountains. breakfast was excellent and so was the other meals. The pool was clean and had a good size and no problems to get a chair by the pool.

Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is great. The whole complex of little houses is very cute, and the views from hotel are amazing. The hotel is located in nature, so it's very calm.

Cons: The only downfall was access to your apartment, where you have to walk down the path to your house. I don't think this hotel is suitable to people who have hard time with walking.

Great place to stay 2-3 days

Pros: The resort has theoretically 4 stars, although for me it was better quality agritourism. Rooms clean, nice, modestly furnished, very comfortable beds, small coffee machine in the room with complementary coffee. Very nice surroundings of an old olive grove on hillside. With great view on a lake (if you chose the room with a view). Clean and nice swimming pool. Very good breakfast, varied savory and sweet. Very good wifi all over the resort! The place is very silent, a little bit far from everything which for us was an advantage

Cons: No sockets in the room (you need to charge your phones, laptops or so on in the bathroom with only one socket) You have to pay for small mineral water in the room (not usual as for 4star resort). Staff is very polite, but keeping distance and it lacks a friendly/familiar atmosphere known from other Italian places. Resto - not so good (there are more tasty places around but not so close as the place is a little bit far from everything)

Pros: Gorgeous and peaceful location, birds singing every morning and evening. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, e.g. allowed us to have a slightly later checkout and use the facilities as we were waiting for an afternoon public bus from Sant'Antonio. Food was delicious, and the whole stay just very relaxing and luxurious.

Pros: The area is really quiet. It's actually end of the world in the middle of Sardinia. If you need to take a rest from the pace of the city and read your books for a while then it is OK (in case you purchase both units in the whole house). Main attraction, the pool in the yard is uplifting the impression a lot especially in the night. The room was spacious with high ceiling and super-clean. Air conditioning was silent and capable of cooling the space even in hot days. The vegetation in the resort is nicely irrigated which is in interesting contrast with poor piping setup of the houses :).

Cons: 1) Noise: Unfortunately the construction of the houses transmits the noise of your neighbor so you can hear unpleasant sounds of other people on toilet, rolling their paper, farting, flushing, talking, showering, etc. Since we were always coming back from the sea after the midnight our neighbor was getting desperate smashing the wall and shouting for silence :). On the other hand he as an early bird paid us the same coin every morning with his toilet sounds, "loud talk", shower and smelly smells :). Toilet of one unit has the window right next to the terrace of other unit :)))). 2) Mosquitos: Since the resort is next to the water dam, mosquitos ruin the stay a lot. You cannot enjoy sitting on the terrace or yard in the evening without proper biting. You can sleep well only with closed windows and doors. One electric repeller is not enough. Please install mosquito nets to the windows so the guests can enjoy fresh air while sleeping. 3) Facilities: Whipping the ass and saving the papers in the bin till next day's room service is reminding you the country side nature of the resort, I mean really??? Poor somebody paying the full price of 300EUR/night and then realizing that the piping of the houses is so stupid that the WC and sink gets clogged every now and then. Drinking tap water is not available, 0.5l bottles for 1.50EUR is available instead, so do not forget always bring some water packs from the supermarkets on the way, this will keep you in shape ;). Electric sockets are missing next to the beds. So charging the phones, laptops and tablets is a problem if you do not bring your own extension cable with splitting adapter. Shower does not have any holder or bracket --> not practical. Thin blankets are not enough, extra quilts should be a basic equipment. 4) Breakfast: Poor. 5) Location: Bad roads, expect 45-60 minutes driving to seacoast (one way). 30 minutes to supermarket. Wasting a lot of time.
