The worst hotel Ive ever stayed at

Pros: The view

Cons: Dated decor, bathroom was way past its best and looked filthy. The spa facilities smelt damp and the jacuzzi was cold. We had pretty low expectations after reading the reviews but needed somewhere reasonably close after travelling to climb Etna and even these werent met! Will not be staying again, I would rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere that can actually call itself a hotel!

Pros: Location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing Etna. It is just 17km away from Etna cable car. It has a warm indoor swimming pool and a decent sauna world.

Lovely location but hotel was rather austere

Pros: It was in a great location for visiting Mount Etna.

Cons: The nature of the annex (where our room was)led to there being a great deal of noise - peoples conversations echoed around the building/doors were constantly being slammed shut. The bed in our room was lumpy/uncomfortable. The restaurant was run by a very loud, difficult Maitre D who was unpleasant and unwelcoming. No one relaxed when he was around. He spent much of his time barking orders at the staff. He only communicated with us to tell us each bottle of wine we tried to order was not in stock. We ended up with the house red in the end Felt rather like an Italian Fawlty Towers.

Pros: The breakfast quality was appalling - a limited, low-quality selection that failed to meet even basic standards. Starting the day on such a note was disheartening. Breakfast was served outside in the company of insects and bees. The tables were set next to a busy road on the ethne, Through which honking buses constantly passed. Terrible experience.

Cons: My recent stay at Airone Wellness Hotel was a complete disaster. The negatives far outweighed any possible positives. The breakfast quality was appalling - a limited, low-quality selection that failed to meet even basic standards. Starting the day on such a note was disheartening. The rooms were cramped, contradicting the essence of relaxation. The lack of space made it hard to unwind. Noise from buses on the adjacent road shattered any hope of serenity. The constant honking and engine noise disrupted any chance of peace. The staffs inability to communicate in English was beyond frustrating. Dealing with unhelpful employees who couldn't understand needs worsened the situation. Reception couldn't generate VAT invoices at check-out or online, displaying shocking inefficiency. The pool and spa were disastrous, falling short of the wellness promise. In conclusion, my stay was a nightmare. Subpar breakfast, cramped rooms, noise disruption, inept staff, VAT invoice issues, and poor amenities make this hotel a terrible choice. Look elsewhere for a satisfying experience.

A beautiful place which leaves much to be desired.

Pros: Very good breakfast in a garden setting. Outdoor kids pool. The location with a view was perfect to unwind.

Cons: After booking a non refundable room, I got a message from the hotel stating that only kids aged over 5 years can use the indoor pool, and they can only do so for a couple of hours in the evening. Having two kids aged under 5 years, we therefore couldnt use the indoor pool. For this reason I asked for a refund, as this information wasnt available at the time of the booking, but they refused our request immediately. Luckily enough the weather was nice so we could use the outdoor pools, otherwise they would have ruined our holiday. Our room was next to the reception, so we could hear the phone ringing, the piano playing and guests chatting all the time. At night it wasnt particularly pleasant. I also booked a massage (which costed 70 for 30mins), which was rescheduled a couple of minutes prior to the appointment. For the price paid, I expected a better treatment.

Pros: Very good location for visiting the Etna volcano and excursions to the surrounding area. Quiet and peaceful place. Very nice hotel from the outside.

Cons: Bed very uncomfortable, nice rooms in the depandance, but soundproofing minimal. You can hear the "neighbours" flushing the toilet or when they talk even at normal volume. Every movement can be heard. The most unpleasant surprise was the coffee at breakfast. Nowhere in all of Italy have I had worse coffee than here for breakfast. Otherwise, the breakfast was generally good.

Pros: Friendly staff good access to mount etna. Good location to explore mount etna. Local town of zafferena Etnea was nice to explore. Nice pool and parking. Lovely staff

Cons: You need a car to get into the nearby town as dangerous to walk around the roads.

The hotel is located ideally for an excursion up Mt Etna, and still very good value for money.

Pros: The location was very good. Swimming pool was great.

Cons: There was very little else to do but eat at the hotels restaurant that evening. Were used to eating earlier and found the restaurant only opens at 8pm! The spa was very crowded at all times and the water was very cool in the heated pool and jacuzzis.

Best hotel

Pros: Everything was fantastic at this property.Staff, food, cleaningness, pools, elevatos, AA temperature, TV's... everything worked and was up to our expectations. Spa is fantastic.
