Cons: In general all was really good. All over York building structures are made of thick stone therefore even the best internet service does not operate consistently - it is what it is.

Pros: It’s a beautiful property in a really wonderful location! Close to the railway and some fun pubs.

Cons: NO WIFI most of the time! They did move my room after a few days but if you work online and need a connection this place is NOT for you. NO hot water in my room the last few days. Cold showers.

Cons: The private ensuite room was very cold. Luckily I had a running fleece I could use on top of my nightwear to sleep in. The bed was very hard; literally a hard board with a thin foam mattress on top, giving both back and neck ache. Also, the additional single bed was also very short with high bed-ends therefore my tall son had to sleep with his knees tucked under his chin as well as on a hard surface. The bathroom was a small plastic 'box' at one side of the room which got completely soaked when showering. No hot water tap at the basin. No where to put toiletries or clothes. Was wet and smelly from being damp all night. I would never stay here again as it was really uncomfortable and disappointing.

Cons: Be aware they charge for the late check out without your consent! I was out of my room at 11 and when I got downstairs Isabel at the front desk charged my card with no consent. No one informed us during check in they charge you even for a minute past 11 and they refused to give an invoice with the charge, which is clearly a scam. I assume because it's £5 they feel they can just steal the money with no consequence, and no one will make a big deal out of it, but that's just unacceptable. I am not even mentioning for my entire stay there was no hot water in the shower. No kitchen to cook, no fridge, no lockers, extra charge for towels, storage room etc. But all of that cannot compare to the attitude I was given at the Front desk. It felt like they actually take pleasure in scamming people. Honestly, it's not worth it. Definitely never staying again.

Horrible place - avoid!

Cons: The price was more than £100 per night for a single room (stayed during the Easter holiday time). You cannot offer rooms like that for such a price because it simply isn’t worth it whatsoever. The room was pretty old (badly painted with broken ceilings), windows were old and the closure parts weren’t working properly so we had to help them close with the backpacks from the inside the room), bathroom was just a disaster (tiny and barely manageable, where everything is made of plastic, making it also look as a bathroom inside the truck/bus), heating not working, TV not working, WIFI not working (local internet poorly catches as well), overall dirtiness both inside the room as well as outside areas (especially sofas!), communal toilets look like dirty public toilets with no toilet paper. Everything needs to be paid for (towels, luggage storage etc.). Even if you paid £100 per night, they want you to pay extra to leave your luggage. Just horrible!!!!!

Cons: the fact that innearly could not check in because i dont have photo ID but never said you needed ID when i booked and paid which is why i would never use them again. If it wasnt for the fact that my brother have photo ID i would have booked and paid and then had nowhere to stay. Very poor
