A Gem on Rockley Beach

Pros: Great Location. Beautiful grounds. Nice staff. The welcome drink at check-in was a nice touch. Definitely worth returning to stay longer.

Cons: Would have been nice if Booking.com had an option to add breakfast at time of booking.

A dream come true!

Pros: Best location- right on the beach, close to a huge selection of restaurants and a couple of grocery stores. Also right near the Boardwalk.

Cons: Staff were extremely unhelpful and several male staff at the beach area were saying some very sexually explicit things about me while helping me (in their own language which they did not think i would understand). ASTOUNDINGLY BAD

Pros: Location was fairly good, room was good size and mostly fresh. Renovations have been done and everything was in ordrer from that point. Great wifi all over the area including the beach! Exellent food and snacks by the beach.

Cons: We got the room very late even though we asked for early checkin. Instead we got it 2,5 hours after cnormal check in time which really made us loose most of that day. We were compensated with a dinner meal for two and a hopsitality room the last day after check out time. The cleaning involved some really heavy use of chlorine and the smell was awfull, especially when we got the room. There where some stains that looked like blood behind the curtains, which we asked about from the cleaning lady. She told us it was just paint, but clearly not as we could wipe it away with just water and there was nothing red paintes in the room either. No big thing and easy to miss.. perhaps also explains the use of chlorine. Beach is beautiful although not as nice as the Dover beach. Smaller and the chairs cramped too much together for our taste, but ok overall.

Despite regular stays at this hotel it is getting worse due lack of any refurbishment.

Cons: Price, value for money. Showers stull don't work properly due lack of water pressure and very old sanitary ware. Everything is. Very old and tired

There are better places on the island for the same or less money.

Pros: The Good - Location was great. Breakfast was great too.

Cons: The Bad - Staff could not have given a toss about serving or even saying "hi". They were casual about their approach to customers. Rooms were very old and tired. Our first room didn't have blankets on the bed or in the closet. After calling room service 3 times - it took 4 hours for them to bring them. Getting a towel for the beach each day took forever and you had to line up with customers checking in/out to get them. We got moved to a second room and from the bed you could barely see the TV and "ocean front" was looking at the top of the restaurant. The lamp didn't work and there were not USB outlets for devices. There were not nearly enough lounges for the beach. People were literally fighting for them - like taking them from each other. So disappointed as the island is expensive and this place was unsatisfactory.

We were only there for a single pre-cruise night, but would go back and stay longer!

Pros: Gorgeous azure ocean and sandy beach. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable accommodations with beautiful ocean view. Very good food. Fun Managers Cocktail Party. Great drinks! Good location.

Cons: Breakfast and dinner buffets were a bit pricey, but very good food, nice variety, and excellent service.

Great for a short break

Pros: We only stayed for one night when we arrived. We took a bus from the airport which dropped us off outside the hotel and cost only 3.50BD each. Hotel was dated but comfortable. I was travelling with a friend and we had a room with two double beds which were very comfortable. We paid for breakfast at the property which was perfectly ok and well cooked but nothing special. All the staff were very friendly and polite. One very nice touch was that we were given a voucher upon arrival for a welcome rum or fruit punch drink which we had at their beach bar that night. The best thing about the hotel was the swimming pool which was large with a separate area for children. My friend had to do some work and was able to use the business facilities at the hotel. I can't really comment on the area around the hotel as we were only here for one night.

Cons: The only disappointment was the bathroom in which the shower was difficult to turn on and didn't get very hot. Given that this was a fairly standard tourist hotel, the price for one night was expensive. However, EVERYTHING in Barbados is expensive, especially the taxis.

Pros: fabulous beach great location nice pool good landscaping wonderful views clean room

Cons: Lotsa stuff broken. Closet door for example, ice maker for example. Lovely building but tatty around the edges. Desk staff excellent - especially Michael - but other staff indifferent - and that is generous. Restaurant food simply lousy. High prices/low quality. Staff there grim and passive-aggressive. Hours too short, and closed early. Does not rise to average, expected better.

Pros: The position right on the beach was good.

Cons: Staff where not very talkative/responsive/helpful and did not smile. The wait at reception to check in was unacceptable. We did the evening buffet which was ridiculous overpriced, with a poor selection, so much so that we didnt bother with the breakfast. In the morning there was nowhere to get a drink. all bars were closed, finally managed to get a drink and it took 10 mins for them to go and get a card machine to take the payment. Thank god we were only there for 1 night before a cruise.

Barbados Beach Bum

Pros: The Beach was wonderful. The rooms are updated since tge last time I was there. Courteous staff. Great location fir hopping on a van and going anywhere on the island.

Cons: Food was mid. Beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable. For this reason alone, I won't be returning.
