Green Tree Alliance or GT Alliance is a popular chain of hotels in Asia. It is a brand under the GreenTree Hospitality Group Ltd which was founded in 2004. In 2007, the mother company made a remarkable mark in the market as their hotel counted exceeded 100 in that short span of time. The developments doubled a year after, too. 

The semi-mysterious growth can only be traced as far as the strategic layout of the hotels’ locations. The group was building hotels like they were planting seeds in different rich lands. In 2010, they were approaching a total of 500 properties, and just when the industry thought it would stop at that, they went past 800 in 2011. The expansions are still ongoing until the present time. In 2014, they already had more than 2000 hotels.

The brands under this company also range only from economy to mid-scale, making it a mass favorite. In 2018, Green Tree Alliance was already one of the brands under the group to contribute to the 2,757 total count of hotels in 290 cities.
