Ritz-Carlton is a luxury hotel chain being operated by the American company, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC, which has 97 luxury resorts and hotels in 30 countries. The previous owners sold Ritz-Carlton brand name as well as its hotels in Boston, Massachusetts and the current company was established in 1983. It has been extended to other location and is now a subsidiary of Marriott International.

The company’s hotel growth was mainly because of the hard work of its President and COO, Mr. Horst Schulze. Under his leadership, the hotels grew from 4 to 40 location in the United States and awarded twice (1992 and 1999) the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Other awards of Ritz-Carlton hotels are Zagat Survey’s top dining, hotel and service: and Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, USA and Wolfsburg, Germany also both given top honors from Zagat in 2009.
