Howard Johnson, founded by Howard Deering Johnson, is an American hotel chain and motels located mainly all over Canada and United States. It was in 1954 that the very first Howard Johnson’s motor lodge was opened. The first branch was located in Savannah, Georgia. Their Howard Johnson’s motor lodges had also been franchised in The Bahamas and in 32 states.

When Wyndham took over some of their hotel, rooms were renovated providing guests with a more comfortable stay.
