About Hotel Monterey Group Kawai
Hotel Monterey Group opened its doors for guests in 1986, and has since then, continued to make its mark in Japan’s hospitality industry. The hotel’s concept is to recreate history through its building and décor, reproducing the charm of various cities in each of its hotels. The result are buildings that are the combination of cultures, giving local tourists a worldly sense while allowing foreign tourists to feel at home. The Monterey Hotels have been described as romantic and whimsical by various authorities in the industry. The facades of Monterey Hotels follow are more modern cut done in the Rococo style.
A good example of the chain’s dedication towards a balanced approach to their designs is the Kyoto branch which combines Kyoto’s culture with British influences. The result is an eclectic mix of traits with its very own charm. All of these are contained in spacious rooms with large windows that overlook the city below.
