About Raffles Intl Hotels and Resort Bukit Merah
Raffles Hotels & Resort is a hotel chain brand that owns and manages luxury hotels in Singapore. Founded in 1887, the brand’s flagship property is the original Raffles Hotel in Singapore and has been one of the fastest-growing hotels in the region. The company quickly entered the international scene after it was acquired by Swissotel in 2001 and is one of the many hotel chains under the AccorHotels Brand. At present AccorHotels together with all the hotel brands under its name is being managed by FRHI Hotels & Resort after the acquisition of the AccorHotels in 2016. At present, Raffles Hotels & Resort has 11 luxury hotels under its portfolio.
The brand launched its first flagship hotel in 1991 through the restoration and redevelopment of the historical Raffles Hotel. Together with this, the group also reconstructed and managed the I.M Pej Raffles City development which easily started the company’s roots of becoming a hotel management company. The restoration took 3 years but is a worthwhile investment for the group.
AccorHotels, the big name under the hotel and accommodation market acquired Fairmont Raffles Hotel International and added Raffles Hotels & Resort, Swisssotel and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts among its rosters of luxury hotel brands group.
