Known as an unincorporated community, Tannersville, Pennsylvania is located in Pocono Township. It is home to just around 3,000 residents. John Larner founded the village in 1750 and first named the area Pocono Point. The Indian trails in and around the village were eventually widened to be used for stagecoaches.
