Kastoria International Airport – KSO-Aristoteles

Kastoria National Airport is located in the Kastoria Region of Macedonia, Greece. Also called KSO-Aristoteles Airport, this public airport stands within Argos Orestiko - said to have been established by the son of Agamemnon, legendary Orestes. This is a medium type airport that utilizes the Europe/Athens timezone of GMT + 02:00 hours.

KSO-Aristoteles is operated by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) and owned by the Greek State. It features a single asphalt runway with a 12/30 direction. Usually orientated east to west, this shorter runway is best for propeller aircrafts. Athens Airways is the major airline that flies to KSO-Kastoria Aristoteles Airport. In 2018, HCAA and World Aero Data reported that 4,301 passengers used the airport - a 13.3% drop from the previous year’s tally. From the same year, there were 338 movements which is an increase of 7.6% from the previous year. While visiting Árgos Orestikón, marvel at the ancient Greek sculptures at the Archeological Museum of Argos Orestiko or explore The Dragon’s Lair. Enclosed by beautiful limestone mountains and the stunning Lake Orestiada, the Kastoria region is famous for its Ottoman and Byzantine architecture.
