In Dublin, the summers are comfortable temperatures rarely go over 72 °F. Year round you can expect some clouds and wind so bring a jacket. Winters can be long, cold and wet so an umbrella is a must have. Temperatures usually 38°F to 67°F during the winter months.

When to Visit

While it is very rainy, the best time to visit Dublin is actually around April or May, because the city gets very crowded with tourists in the summertime. In the Spring, The weather is tolerable and crowds are manageable, unless you go around St. Patrick’s Day, in which case the city will be packed.

Transportation

Dublin is extremely walkable due to its compact size. Seeing all the site by foot is easy and efficient. But biking is also a great option, public bike rentals are available all over the city. There are also various forms of public transportation including the bus, the DART train, and the tram.
