‘Tis the season to travel around the world to see some incredible fall foliage. Each year the trees change to gorgeous colors and leave us in awe at this phenomenon. This year, travel to one (or all) of these beautiful destinations sure to deliver amazing fall foliage.
Munich, Germany
Munich is already on many people’s fall bucket list since it hosts Oktoberfest each year. However, the city’s fall foliage is equally as entertaining. Stroll through the city’s numerous parks to see the golden leaves or visit the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle which is surrounded by trees.
Stowe, Vermont
If you’re looking for the classic American fall foliage trip, look no further than Stowe, Vermont. Adventure junkies will love seeing the changing leaves from above on one of Vermont’s many hiking trails or on a ziplining adventure!
Tokyo, Japan
Although Tokyo is mostly famous for being a bustling city, it is also well known for amazing Autumn foliage. The city has many momiji maple trees that change to gorgeous colors in November. For the best viewing head to parks like Icho Namiki, Mount Takao, or Okutama.
Snowdonia, Wales
Around October Wales begins to transform into a colorful wonderland. Snowdonia is great for hiking year round but the colors and smells of fall make it even more delightful. To make the most of the Autumn leaves, try hiking up Snowdon mountain or Moel Siabod.
Torres Del Paine, Chile
November is the peak time to visit Torres Del Paine National Park as the weather is nice and the flowers are blooming. Although it is autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, it is actually spring for Chile, so think of this trip as a reverse fall foliage vacation.
Aspen, Colorado
Each season is beautiful in Aspen, but Aspen’s autumn is definitely a fan favorite for the cool weather and breathtaking views. To see the picturesque fall colors, head to Maroon Bells. Then refuel the next day at Aspen’s Saturday Markets which run through mid-October
Paris, France
Fall in love with “The City of Love” this Autumn. Paris is particularly magical during the fall with its crisp air and lovely weather. Take full advantage of the outdoors by grabbing a baguette and strolling around a park. We recommend Luxembourg Gardens which has plenty of space to explore.
