Vienna International Airport is located in the city of Schwechat, just outside Vienna, Austria. The country’s largest and busiest airport with the airport code VIE, it operates as the home base of Eurowings Europe & Austrian Airlines, while also being a hub to several low-cost carriers such as Level and easyJet Europe. Originally a military airport, it was constructed in 1938 and utilized in World War II. Now, it is the international gateway to Vienna and its neighboring countries like Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
