Ubareba-Mario de Almeida Franco Airport is public passenger airport with a designated IATA airport code of UBA that is located in Uberaba, a western municipality of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The airport was established on the 23rd of May 1935 bearing the airport name of Alberto Santos-Dumont Airport and was later changed in June 13, 1980 to its present name in honor of Mario de Almeida Franco. It is being operated by Infraero, a government corporation responsible for the maintenance of major commercial airports in Brazil, the airport caters the aviation needs of the entire Uberaba City and its nearby cities of Ituverava and Pedregulho.
