Pilanesberg International Airport – NTY Pilanesberg

A public-use airport that serves Sun City in South Africa’s North West province is the Pilanesberg International Airport. The airport is situated next to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.It is owned and operated by the North West Provincial Government. The airport only sees one airline, the South African Express, which serves regular scheduled flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Pilanesberg International Airport has a single asphalt-paved runway designated 05/23 and measures 9,022 feet in length. The city of Pretoriawhich is the capital of South Africa is also close to NTY Pilanesberg. It is known as Jaracanda City for the thousands of Jaracanda of trees. Nelson Mandela’s inauguration is hosted at the city’s semicircular Union Buildings. Historic spots and zoos can also be found in the city.
