Founded in 1986, Kamat Hotels India Ltd. is a renowned hospitality group that is a part of the greater Kamat Group, which has been around for more than 80 years. Kamat Hotels is known worldwide for their eco-friendly practices, notably making the five-star Orchid Hotel in Mumbai the first hotel in Asia to receive the Ecotel certification. Dr. Kamat also received the “IHC Lifetime Achievement” award in Hospitality in 2019.
