We arrived to find this not only hard to find but condemned and chain linked! Warning to all Booking does not check thei
Pros: The property was closed! Chain link fences all around. We called to check why our GPS said it was closed permanently and the representative said were open and yes you have the correct address. Well look to see you! But when we came it was all but boarded up!! We called all Capitol Lake properties and they seemed unaware of this closure. Another hotel we managed to find a room in indicated the proper has been closed since last November!! I made the reservation last November! You have charged us! And of all things you asked us to fill out this response????WTF!!!
We have used Booking.com for years but have never been conned. We are reporting this to the Attorney General if Washington. This was a scam!!!

Thank goodness the bed was...
Pros: Bed was comfortable, and staff were pleasant and informative. Site was close to where we were visiting. Night staff gave us a voucher for breakfast. Next morning - clerk alerted us no breakfast was available, as the cook was out sick with a migraine. No one else apparently had a food handler's certificate to be able to make breakfast. No refund available, despite pre-payment for stay. My husband did some research and found hotel owners want to convert the place to apartments. They are well on the way to not having hotel customers (a handful of cars in the parking lot that night) and getting their wish. Booking.com did give us $21.67 cash redeemable in a few weeks for cash or another stay.
Cons: Despite prepaying for breakfast and our stay when booking, there was no breakfast available the next morning. Clerk was apologetic. The hotel staff "couldn't" refund our breakfast ($33.56 for two). We had to call another number, and the woman indicated site manager would call within 48 hours. I called him at 50 hours. He refunded promptly, then said the refund went to booking.com, as we'd reserved through them. Booking.com told us it would take 5-10 days after my conversation with booking.com to get my refund. We have yet to see it. We stayed one night in November. We will not stay there again.

Disappointing
Used to be a nice hotel
Pros: The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good. The breakfast waitress was the only staff who seemed to know what they were doing.
Cons: We were put into a room that allowed pets even though we didnt have pets. It was a huge, cold, dungeon of a room that smelled like stale animal poop. We were moved to a different room upon request, but the whole hotel seems to be falling apart. The rooms were sparsely decorated and the lampshade was falling off. The windows need to be washed, and the carpet and wallpaper updated. There wasnt even a coffee maker in the room.

Good stay, but I wish the hotel were more up to date in its facilities.
Pros: The location, surrounded by big trees near a lake. Quiet area, lots of privacy.
Cons: The hotel needs extensive, complete renovation. Everything is old. The rooms, the furniture, appliances, bathroom, phone, carpets, sheets, drapes, decoration, lights, etc. are quite old and worn out. That creates an atmosphere of a place in decay that does not care enough about the comfort of its guests.
There are other hotels in Olympia of comparable ratings and prices that are much modern and comfortable.
